Tend to agree.
But they are trying at least I guess.
I'm not a McL guy, but I'd say this is the completely wrong energy the team as a whole needs. It's feisty dumped-ex energy.
The whole world that doesn't wear a McL shirt agrees with the stewards ruling. Just take it on the chin, experience, adapt, move on.
It's about honing skills, not Lando in particular, but as a team as a whole ..

This is not even close to true. Even the british press doesn’t agree with the ruling. What you meant is they agree with the penalty on Norris, not on the ruling which missed the penalty on Max.

Wasn't that all covered in the ruling. Lando would have got 10 seconds, and Max 5. But they balanced it out to 5 for Norris.

The penalty was correct though.

It's interesting how always the guys that come here and claim everyone agrees with the ruling have their most active topic a Red Bull one. I wonder why?

That was my understanding too.
Only thing I can ascertain from an article is that they now have footage from Verstappens forward facing camera which wasn’t available during the race and they must feel they can see Verstappen out of control or something but that would show up in the data too?
I think McLaren are just wasting energy with this right it review.

I think that the fact that Norris was fully ahead before the corner may make this more debatable. If Norris is ahead at the end of the straight, before braking, Verstappen could be viewed as an attacker that forces Norris off, if that is the case Norris did not gain the advantage.

I do think the right of review will be dismissed as nothing new will be brought forward and it is gray enough that they can easily dismiss it. But I am happy that the team is challenging.

You have to try. You don't lose anything by doing it. I am sure they are aware it is very unlikely to change the decision.

You know, I had never considered that Norris was ahead, I always thought he was just marginally ahead. What is the threshold for the attacker to become the defending at the end of the straight?
Joylon Palmers analysis would probably be a good watch on F1TV but I’ve not had time to watch it.

To the Red Bull fans, this isn’t a witch hunt by me, Mclaren should take it on the chin and focus on delvering a result this Sunday

Cheap theater from Marco. Oscar has no reason to go to Red Bull, especially since the team is losing specialists, going there would be shooting himself in the foot.

The review will be dismissed, they always are aren't they?

I do think this just shows how confusing the whole thing is. People parrot ahead at the apex, but as Jenson Button said, just being ahead because you brake later and can't make the corner is taking it a bit far.

It's just messy.

I think it does make sense in the long run. If, Max goes to Aston or Merc, red bull will be primed for Oscar or Lando.

They do, though:

Waste of time with the appeal. Nothing will happen, all footage is there and it’s clear what happened. An attacking driver forced the car ahead off track and was allowed to take the position anyway. They can redirect that energy to have talks with the FIA and the other teams on changing the rule back to normal racing rules so we get rid of these ugly situations in the future once and for all.

Imagine it’ll be easily dismissed. Be interesting if it was within the 96 hour time limit aswell.

Thats also providing the paperwork was filled in correctly this time.

Correct penalty IMHO - seen worse from Lando at Austria onto turn 3.

It’s the rules that need addressing

The forward camera from Verstappen car may not have been available. That camera is the clearest that Lando was fully ahead before braking.

I still doubt it will change the outcome but I think putting pressure on the stewards and FIA makes sense.

Except that Lando actually kept it within the track.
