Ferrari SF-24

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

It was very confusing looking at it for the first couple of seconds. It looked like it's definitely the front end of the floor because of turning vanes and you also have a tunnel geometry that looks like a front end typically would. Even the keel looked suspiciously like a radical new geometry of the front bib underside
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

At the first moment I looked at the pics, then I read the text and went back on the pics.
Yes there is a plus floor in the back, I did not notice it before I made the reading :) :) :)

As expected, sidepod louvres were cut down massively yesterday. It could change back to full-size outlets for the race, but I don't think they will need it

Interesting, they basically eliminated the ramp coming off the back of the keel/canoe that seemed universal not long ago. I wonder if any other teams have done something similar.

Yes, Ferrari did it back in 2022

Then Red Bull seemed to have copied it quickly for a Baku floor update

We might see more and more cars using it next year

Experimental floor edge details, photo by motorsport. Completely new local geometry, very different from anything else seen thus far on any car (as far as I remember).

It has the thinner blade that most teams tend to run, but with a Ferrari touch.
The floor itself becomes larger.
