Well done Carlos

Game on! Even as a Mclaren fan I’ll take these tight races any day compared to last year.

I also feel like, of the races left, Mexico probably won’t be the strongest, so that’s very positive. I kinda think Brazil will be better still.
Yea I think Brazil will be better for Ferrari.
I heard they think Qatar might not be so favourable….

Ferrari is on a roll. Why not Sao Paulo too?
Because it's gonna be cold and wet (forecast at the moment). Anything better than P3-P4 is gonna be great, luckily Mercedes is so far off on pace otherwise they'd be in the game too
AeroGimli.x

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Yeah at the end of the race track went to 31C compared to the already cold 35C in Q3 and over 40C in the FPs.

Average Leclerc bottlejob...
Jesus, where do all these people come from?
Leclerc has an unhealthy amount of situations where he has made silly mistakes when under pressure from a driver behind. This is not normal.

It's one thing to be overtaken by a legitimately faster driver. That's ok. It's another to simply give up a position because of a silly mistake. This is embarrasing and even more embarassing for Leclerc to continue doing this after years in F1. A driver who cannot hold his own on the track against other drivers will never be champion.

Very very happy for sainz, well deserved. Leclerc was unlucky with traffic, but would have been difficult to keep Norris behind either way. WCC is very well a possibility. Car is good, drivers doing good, strategy and execution on point.

I wonder what happened to Leclerc. Once he got nearly into his DRS he went down. Unlucky with the traffic today.

Master class by Carlos.
He cooked his tyres at some point (he was talking about surface temps being too high), then lico made it worse still.

Sainz is pretty good in wet conditions.

That's a solid all round outcome for Sainz and the team as a whole in terms of points, the car is still a bit tricky on the hards with a lighter fuel load, at least compared to McLaren who seem really strong with their second stints and the harder compound with lower fuel.
The Ferrari is no slouch either but the McLaren is very strong with their second stints.
How much of today's pace was related to the track, altitude and temps is hard to say but McLaren have had an advantage there for some time now.

That said another all round fantastic weekend for the team =D>

I agree that it is a limitation for him. Japan '22 (last lap). Japan '24 (went off in degner 2 when under pressure from Perez in the first stint). Vegas '23 (went off under pressure from Perez). France '22. Miami '22 vs Verstappen. Today, almost losing it in front of Norris but that is the beauty of the sport. All the drivers have their limitations. They are all different. In spite of this, he will still win something. Sainz managed to win today but he is not perfect either.

Yawn. Say this on a weekend where the best driver on the grid (Verstappen) didn't also make multiple mistakes.

Anyway, I am worried about Brazil. It's looking to be very rainy. If it is, I'm somewhat expecting another weekend where Sainz beats Leclerc.

Do we know if any teams are bringing upgrades next weekend?

In Japan 22 is a miracle that he finished the race with the tyres he had.
