Rumour is that Verstappen (Sr) and Sainz (sr) just really do not get along, so Red Bull was never really an option. Like on paper Sainz would be a no-brainer, but it's clearly complicated. Sainz is also now locked down in a medium-term contract, and I don't see Red Bull coughing up like 50 million dollars as a likely possibility.
If Sainz got himself stuck into a contract that cost 50 million to break, he's not very smart. Williams got the deal of the century as far as I'm concerned. Good race winning drivers just don't go to Williams. There's a reason why the best they could do was the likes of Latifi, Kubica, and Sargeant. Russell was only a loan to the benefit of Mercedes. No one good wants to drive for them. Williams already confessed that 2025 would be a write off year.bananapeel23 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 02:35Rumour is that Verstappen (Sr) and Sainz (sr) just really do not get along, so Red Bull was never really an option. I think you are getting older mate. It's normal for the gen Z to have entitlement. I see that at work place. It's just a generational thing. What seems like entitlement for us could just be a normal attitude for them. I don't see a problem. Red Bull invests in drivers to promote them. It has benefited them largely. Half the grid is full of Red Bull drivers. That speaks for it. I don't see a point of hiring drivers from outside when they have talent in their own junior stable.
I really can’t fathom why Perez wasn’t kicked out mid season. Daniel might not be the honey badger of old, but at least he could overtake other cars without colliding with them.
Lawson was called in to Horner's office at the end of the race today due to his behavior against Checo.
Ridiculous! Liam was aggressive but fair! Perez is just completely washed up, his qualifying is a joke and he can’t overtake decent drivers without colliding with them.dialtone wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 07:13Lawson was called in to Horner's office at the end of the race today due to his behavior against Checo.
Also Horner said that Checo will be there for Brazil, https://www.thestar.com.my/sport/motors ... -uncertain maybe not after brazil.

what was said not exactly, we know what Marko said about it:PapayaFan481 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 07:27Do we know what was said?
Be a bit hypocritical if Horner defends Max for his driving style then criticises Lawson for the same level of aggression!!
He might have been asking him to step up to the big team lol
Basically he should just have let Checo pass since he's driving for RBR.Lawson could partially impress showing off his skills against Perez, however, Marko also underlined that something was indeed missing. "But we know Lawson is a very tough racer. He's very difficult to overtake. But it shouldn't be within, not teammates, but with sister teams. There should be more respect," he concluded about the incident.
Problem was not racing. His hand gesture later in the race. Not sure what that meant.djos wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 07:23Ridiculous! Liam was aggressive but fair! Perez was being jerk on track, so Liam flipped him the bird, I don’t see an issue with it.Dunlay wrote: ↑28 Oct 2024, 12:31Problem was not racing. His hand gesture later in the race. Anyway, they are a team that has tolerated the tantrums of Vettel and Max. So I don't see why Liam's attitude would be of problem, especially if he has speed on his side.
100% agree.
