Aston Martin running back their Suzuka floor for this Brazilian GP.
So they are back to a floor spec from early April, and now Alonso look more competitive (compared to Alpine, Vcarb at least)? This team is so lost when it comes to in-season development...
Apparently They've been running it for most of the year. They try the new ones but eventually go back to that one. They ran it in Mexico, it isn't something new.

I wonder why they don't run the new sidepods? Maybe they're tied to something else that they're changing under the skin next year?

I thought they run the new sidepods in Austin ? with the back shape that changed. Or you mean Austin sidepods + Suzuka floor ?

Or they do have new new sidepods ?

Still too early to say if they look better. Only the race will tell.

Arguably one of the two slowest teams of the grid, more or less on par to Sauber.

Slowest team in Quali. Shameful and miserable. I will repeat myself by saying Krack must be fired with immediate effect.

They didn't use Suzuka spec floor, it looks like the Hungary one. They may be using sprint as a test (or what remains of the season  )

It’s a hybrid version of previous specifications. All the images are in the article. I don’t know how to post pictures on here

I'm not saying this full of certainty, obviously... But one could think they're randomly mixing different parts, searching for a lucky strike.

Yeah, they could perfectly use the rest of the season as tests. They seem to be lost anyway...

I meant , I wonder why they don't run the Austin sidepods with whatever else they choose. Why do they use the old sidepods ?

Well, the good news is doing this last year got them a pretty big jump for the start of 2024. It bodes well for the start of 2025 , unfortunately, they still don't understand it.

AM should start from pit lane and change the setup that car to colect some data during sprint race. What the most thing scares me is the fact 1 and a half year later, they could still fighting with the car and those problem, but less, but they are even MORE lost than last year. its scary, because they are collecting data like a Gods and always the things be worse than before. The problem is people who analyze that data or the resources. They dont need more data.

it seems like a bunch of highschool auto shop mechanics are running the team. its hard to undestand how clueless they seem unless there are some major problems with the tools that they are using. but they dont mention any of that.if i was in such an embarrassing situation, id damn sure be pointing fingers at mercedes wind tunnel if that was the culprit haha. its just shocking that they are so clueless for this long, while the teams with half of their manpower or budget have it figured out.
