That VSC felt so weird.

First they call it 1.5 laps after he stops almost on the track, only after McLaren have swapped. Then they decide to end it at the end of the back straight where Verstappen looked to have a very good chance of getting by Piastri. Then they investigate Verstappen for an infringement that might not even be on the books.

I really feel like the stewards/race director are working overtime to try and cook up a title fight here. It's giving shades of Silverstone and Abu Dhabi 2021.
AD21 decision making drove conspiracy theories and so is what people are churning out now. I don't buy either.
An earlier draft of my comment that didn’t get posted due to the lag on the website earlier said something similar. I don’t buy eigher being a conspiracy.

I do really struggle to explain this one however, but I give them the benefit of the doubt.

Why wasnt the mclaren sparking on high fuel? Yesterday we saw an insane amount flying. Is the left side of the straight so much worse?

Hopefully the heavy rain holds and quali is cancelled. Max P15+5 engine penalty, Norris P1. Will make the last three races very interesting.

Why would Max start P15? Surely its decided by WDC order.

There will be way bigger rain tomorrow on Sunday. 23 mm water is predicted. If race is cancelled it's over, no points.

FP1 was held. If Qualy can't be held then the results of last free practice is used.

But I am sure they will find a way to hold qualifying.

Im undecided whether it would be in RBR/Max's interests for quali to be cancelled. Given a penalty of 5 places, puts him P6, so would be well behind if the race is run behind the SC

To award points on the race by current rules, actual race laps have to be completed. Considering the rain tomorrow I highly doubt the race will be held, so basically no points other than the sprint.
