There is plenty of water on the track. I'd let them qualify and see who can make it work but F1 is very risk averse today.
If the cars are too slow, they can't heat the tires and it's like driving on ice. These cars and tires need to be run hard, if it's too cold or wet it's just not possible.pantherxxx wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 21:24Why not just turn down the engine 20% and let them go a few laps? I mean they're the best drivers in the world?
Just remember what you said if it ends up being wet before the race.avantman wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 21:27there is no risks, surely not for drivers health let alone lives. if only for some carbon pieces and cost cap of few teams. this is one of the safest tracks in the world with huge run off areas all over the track. this is the most talented and skillful grid of drivers f1 has even seen. they all know how to drive in the wet, even the likes of stroll. these are just excuses...it's always safety, such rubbish . let them go out track and it will be cleared in 5 minutes by 20 f1 cars on full wet tires.
what these clowns do with all these utility venicles wiping the water while consistent rain keeps dropping down ,this is just pathetic.
Teams would argue what who ever was on pole only turned their engine down 19%pantherxxx wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 21:24Why not just turn down the engine 20% and let them go a few laps? I mean they're the best drivers in the world?
not sure what you mean. i think its pretty much given it will be wet before the race. forecast says rain all day basically.FittingMechanics wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 21:28Just remember what you said if it ends up being wet before the race.avantman wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 21:27there is no risks, surely not for drivers health let alone lives. if only for some carbon pieces and cost cap of few teams. this is one of the safest tracks in the world with huge run off areas all over the track. this is the most talented and skillful grid of drivers f1 has even seen. they all know how to drive in the wet, even the likes of stroll. these are just excuses...it's always safety, such rubbish . let them go out track and it will be cleared in 5 minutes by 20 f1 cars on full wet tires.
