Well they knew you cannot capitalize on pitting early, Russel would have been stuck behind other cars at least for a lap or two. Not sure why they pitted together really.

They were so close it was hard to get them apart.

I don't disagree that Max drove brilliantly but he would not be able to catch the first two without a lucky incident.

He has got lucky, Lando got lucky in Miami. But, his car has been best out there.

McLaren can now probably focus on getting the WDC and hopefully we can seal that with no major problems.
