What a absolute statement drive from Max.
Simply Lovely!
Thats how we silence them!
P17->P1. I was thinking P5-P1. But yeah, this result was more or less expected, not the quali debacle however.Gillian wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 22:30Verstappen had great pace and was faster than both Leclerc and Piastri. Norris was slowed down by Piastri most of the sprint so hard to say how he and Verstappen compared. This was not like Austin where it was pretty clear both Ferrari and Mclaren had more pace.avantman wrote: ↑02 Nov 2024, 22:23Have you been watching the season at all? You cant judge or predict the race pace based on sprint pace, especially this year when they are allowed to change setup. It's no secret Max was far more competitive on softer, medium tires in Sprints all but Mclaren got far better on every single occasion on Sunday.
If they race it will be wet so hard to say what performance will be for all teams but Verstappen seems to have enough pace to get a podium even with the penalty.
He's 10.6 ahead of TSU, it doesn't matter if they give it to them.
Depends what penalty they impose. Probably will be a none issue though given the gap.
As a Verstappen fan, i don't think this is his best drive.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑03 Nov 2024, 19:58That was a masterclass. I think that is Max's best drive for sure. Even if RedBull seemed faster Norris could have won that if he wasn't crying to pit!
It is also a testament to the RedBull strategists and the crappyness of the McLaren strategist.
Merc changed tire pressure after the aborted start while the wheels were still on the car instead of taking them off, against technical regulations, would be surprised if its not a DSQ for both drivers
DSQ is possible, but it should at the very least be a drive-through or 10 second stop and go penalty (either +20 or +30 seconds when applied after the race).
*when he has a car drastically faster than others
