Max has I think, correct me if I’m wrong, one of the highest win percentages in rain races only 2nd all time to senna now.

That says a lot. You can argue he has one of the fastest cars, and he lucked out, but I don’t care how fast the car is, it takes a special type of talent to handle a car in wet conditions.

What we saw today, was an absolute master class in how to drive in the rain. Not only that, he didn’t even play it safe, he was constantly putting in fastest lap times when he was already 15+ seconds ahead. GP was in the radio with max multiple times telling him no risk is needed, and the dude still puts up a fastest lap.

That is not just the car, that is generational talent.

Was that a scrutineer shouting on Max!
Yeah, that was the FIA tyre scrutineer in the Red Bull garage celebrating as Max took the lead. Not good optics.

LoL thats pretty funny.

Speaking of tyres, broadcasting is over and nothing about the start theqtrics or mercedes fiddling with their tyres.

We saw HAAS mechanics celebrating when Max took the lead in AbuDhabi '21. Everyone who genuinely loves racing is a Max fan.

Poor stewarding from Herbert. He forgot to give Max a penalty for driving too fast.

Is there a video of the scrutineer?

I mean - cant see a reason why they cant support or cheer (we've seen marshalls do it) as long as their job is done right.

I can’t even see a summons to the stewards about it on the FIAs website?

Did they listen to me and put in Herbert and Hill as stewards? That would be fun today  =D>

For some reason i expected Max to win that. He was showing good pace on Friday and Saturday. It was all about how McLaren would defy Max and RedBull today. they didnt. They got befuddled, lost sightbin the spray and ultimately stunned by Max.
Me too

I knew that rain was exactly what he needed to comeback from P17! I was expecting a win before the race but when I saw him stuck behind Leclerc and the alpines I thought he wouldn’t win it!

The red flag helped that bit but still he had the pace advantage by the end to accomplish it!
