If it was LH who drove that race, everyone would be calling this the greatest drive of all time. But it's not so the magnitude of this win is downplayed to diminish Max. It's absolutely clear we have never seen talent like Max in F1 history. He is undisputed GOAT. The best driver debate should focus on the category below Max, who is beyond reproach.

Senna lapping everyone at Donington Park in the rain with the first lap on slicks under pouring rain?
So is this not what you said in bold and underline?

I watched that race on TV live and Senna was supreme and that was probably the best first lap ever and your choice of best ever wet race is on point but you wrote and posted this which falsely says that he was lapping everyone on the first lap which is not true.

I should have added a ',' to add a pause.

Senna lapping everyone at Donington Park in the rain, with the first lap on slicks under pouring rain

No I didn't mean that Senna lapped everyone in the 1st lap, I'm not even sure how that can possibly happen unless the whole grid crashes out. And I did recognize that the first lap wasn't under slicks and you corrected me.

Look, we're in a thread where people are claiming Max is the best ever because he did something that all the greats did before him, he drove a great race and no question there, as a 4x WDC he is one of the all time greats, but this race is not the best ever nor the best ever drive in f1.

Max is a great and this was an amazing drive but don't get ahead of yourself. Senna is the GOAT, then Fangio and Clark.

I am a big Max fan. But for me Senna, Schumacher, Hamilton, Max are all in S-tier together. Also peak Alonso, Vettel were amazing to watch.

7pm in Brazil and no update on the stewards decisions for the race start, or Mercs tyre pressure tweaks.

Also, wonder when the post race conference will be on.

Well if the stewards look for an escape for another british biased ‚penalty‘…

Those S-tier drivers, unbelievable on their day. Max is otherworldly, his raw talent deserves a separate category. He will be a 10-time champion because whoever has the fastest car in 2026 (if not RBR) will give him a seat the following year to allow to keep racking up those WDCs. Only 27.

Seems weak to me with zero incentive not to do it again, or anyone else for that matter. For the benefits it could bring €5000 for the privilege is probably worth it.
