McCullough is another guy that has seemed to me that doesnt know what hes talking about. Almost everything hes said regarding updates has turned out to be wrong or overstated. At least Krack keeps things realistic even when hes trying to be optimistic publicly.

ive felt the same way. you have to wonder if he was actually a big part of all the stuff he says, or if he is just relaying some message that fallows and others that are more hands on are telling him. either way suggests that hes sortof clueless. he and fallows both were telling everyone at the end of last season that they had learned a lot from experimenting with different parts, and from preseason, saying they had built a car that works on more types of tracks. all sounds like a bunch of bs in hindsight.

Discrepancy between what they thought they were doing to what actually happened. It's not "BS" if it's what they believed and were wrong. He believed in Fallows, so he trusted in the direction he was going till... Well, he saw Fallows was lost. Fallows paid the ultimate price for being wrong.

Alonso was on a lap that was gonna be 1:34.87 or better(depending how he did in S3, which he was green in all mini sectors).

Alonso made mistake went off the track or something in turn 12. Also in turn 5 lost 2 tenths because Magnussen made mistake and he was very close to the Haas.

I’m sure Briatore is joking with Alonso about a return to Alpine

Both Qualy and race pace simulation have shown Aston as slowest team after the 3 practice sessions so even without the mistakes there was nothing to do.

Just painful to see him trying everything to extract every fraction of a second out of the car.
