Agreed… and add onto the fact they pitted Charles right in front of Carlos who’s tyres are up to temperature too… seriously, a drop in performance on the pit wall today compared to the momentum we’ve had earlier in the year.

I guess we were overdue for a classic 2022-style strategic disasterclass from them... it's been such a good year it was bound to happen eventually
Did the drivers over-attack at the start of the race? Why weren't we bothered by the degradation at the end? It doesn't look like a setup problem. Or did the TD have an effect?

Pretty sure it's not due to TD, the pace on hards is good.

Maybe an issue with just the mediums?
McLaren also lost a ton of pace on the mediums. Weird because these are the two best cars for deg normally.

I agree this was the best result possible given the pace of the Mercs, but let's be real, it is not a race result we should be celebrating. It was just disaster after disaster. They need to seriously go over what happened here today because this will not cut it for Qatar.
LEC drove a bad first stint, didn't bring in the tires gently and ruined them badly in attempting to attack RUS who was much faster.
SAI is a joke, can't wait to see him in williams, away from this team forever. Selfish. Complained that LEC was slower and Ferrari swapped, then when LEC was faster than him in his DRS, while SAI was complaining about wanting to box and Ferrari had told him to swap places with LEC, he instead closed the door last minute making LEC lose 1s+ from HAM right when LEC was extremely fast.
Later on SAI told to not overtake or put pressure on LEC and not overtake, instead went in to overtake immediately when LEC was told to do his tires gently as SAI wasn't gonna worry him.
After passing MAX took 5 laps lapping in 1.36.3+ to take DRS out of MAX, once LEC passed MAX SAI started lapping in 1.35.8s.
I legitimately have no words to describe how you can race your own team mate harder than your competition.

in the 2nd stint carols should not have held up Leclerc, Bryan said to Leclerc that Sainz will let him pass on the back Stright, then didn't happen then turn 5, didn't happen, tall while Leclerc was losing time and also Tyre life I guess. and Charles was pissed on the radio that time, and then again carols was told not to overtake on Charles outlap didn't happen and then he didn't even pull away from Verstappen after passing him giving drs against Charles.. messy race but i think results would look same, merc were fast today..
