This forum contains threads to discuss teams themselves. Anything not technical about the cars, including restructuring, performances etc belongs here.
Really unfortunate with Sainz's lock up at the beginning, but thankfully Leclerc regained the position later. Great racing between Hamilton and Leclerc.
Still, this track is --- for overtaking, they absolutely need to do well in qualifying later...
Why did Leclerc's pace drop so much in the final lap? Did they tell him to be careful for some reason?
Leclerc said overtaking here is extremely complicated, he had to prepare for basically half the laps leading up to it. The straight line speed of the cars in front seemed to be better than theirs which also made things harder, and he doesn't think this will be changed for the race. Overtaking isn't realistic so qualifying and the race start are everything.
Sainz said that while their pace looks good, he doesn't think in a full race they can match McLaren unless they start ahead. His mistake at T1 was because of the dust on the track, but after that the car felt fine. While they can improve in qualifying, finding two tenths will be really difficult.
Both drivers said the team looked at a lot of data overnight and combined with what they learned from the race, maybe they can improve their qualifying later. They're taking a chance here by changing things, they aren't 100% positive it'll help, but they need to try.
Even side seemed quite a bit worse today for starts. Russell, Sainz, and Verstappen all had difficulties getting off the line. Something to note for later. If pole isn't possible P3 might be best.
Absolutely a beauty. This is what leaving space for both drivers does to racing. More of this and less of divebombs and running others off track. unfortunately Russell gave an interview saying the opposite so I don’t have much hope.
They MUST out qualify one of the McLarens, if not both. It is impossible to overtake here, especially if we can get both cars in front and play DRS games.

im already looking forward to Next year
It was always a difficult battle to win WCC. They tried and honestly however it goes I’m pretty happy with the fight. After Canada the championship was a total dream, and yet here we are.
