Car was nothing special, good result.
21 points behind going into Abu Dhabi, very difficult position.
This isn't happening but I'm still as happy as I can be. Great fight till the end is all one could hope for after Canada.bananapeel23 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:50Ferrari needs a 1-2 in Abu Dhabi, with McLaren finishing 4-5 or worse in order to win the WCC.
If Ferrari finishes 1-2 and Mclaren gets 4-5 + FL, Ferrari wins on countback due to having one more win.
There was no need for sc, vsc would have been enough for marshall to clean up.cliffgamerz wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:56They didn't put out safety car is because Ferrari couldn't double stack if safety car was put out as the gap was less the 4.5 secs and McLaren would have lost no positions at all since the gap between them were around 9 secs.
i was being sarcastic, you know how some people just can't let go of small things and continue to talk about for weeks and weeks, its racing and things happen.dialtone wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:59You cannot be serious.cliffgamerz wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:56They didn't put out safety car is because Ferrari couldn't double stack if safety car was put out as the gap was less the 4.5 secs and McLaren would have lost no positions at all since the gap between them were around 9 secs.
VSC couldn't be used because the field of cars were spread out and they wouldn't risk a steward running to middle of the straight to recover the debris only SC would have made that happen, even if they had put VSC or safety car, SAinz would have lost a position to Russell maybe but wouldn't have damaged Sainz nor Hamilton, so they made an eroor with that late call, and Norris penalty was just too hard and maybe 10 secs would have been justified penalty.yooogurt wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 20:00There was no need for sc, vsc would have been enough for marshall to clean up.cliffgamerz wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:56They didn't put out safety car is because Ferrari couldn't double stack if safety car was put out as the gap was less the 4.5 secs and McLaren would have lost no positions at all since the gap between them were around 9 secs.
Ah, that makes more sense. A shame, FIA ruined Sainz's race completely.
1-2 is not mandatory. It's possible to win the WCC with only one car scoring points. In this case, Leclerc or Sainz winning the race and McLaren finishing in P9 and P10 at the most, or one of them finishing P8 and the other not scoring points.bananapeel23 wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 19:50Ferrari needs a 1-2 in Abu Dhabi, with McLaren finishing 4-5 or worse in order to win the WCC.

Edit: Ferrari needs 1-2, With Mclaren finishing 4-5 and NOT GETTING FL to win on countback.
VSC has been used alot of times to clean up the debris.cliffgamerz wrote: ↑01 Dec 2024, 20:06VSC couldn't be used because the field of cars were spread out and they wouldn't risk a steward running to middle of the straight to recover the debris only SC would have made that happen, even if they had put VSC or safety car, SAinz would have lost a position to Russell maybe but wouldn't have damaged Sainz nor Hamilton, so they made an eroor with that late call, and Norris penalty was just too hard and maybe 10 secs would have been justified penalty.

22-13pts in favour of Leclerc during this weekend.
I have been watching you for a while and you clearly hate Leclerc. 69 points ahead in the drivers' standings. 14-7 in the races. What more do you want to do, to stop hating Leclerc? Start a 2025 Williams thread and comment there on how great Sainz is.
