Gasly was not a rookie. He'd raced for Toro rosso for a season and a half before being promoted
Additionally you've got your numbers wrong. Gasly was 0.55s slower than Max on average in qualifying but the deficit was higher in race trim. He was lapped by verstappen at Austria and gasly started blaming the car's design rather than looking at himself. That was the attitude issue that got him booted quickly with no chance of a return
100% correct. I would still add, that the bad year of Gasly cost RedBull the possible P2 in the constructors. Just like this year...being well above 50% of the points of Verstappen would have been enough to secure P2 as this would have taken away points from Ferrari.
I think this is the red line. If they "cost" the constructors, the seat is on fire.
For Albon: This was another kind of issue. Albon had a decent start, but completely fell apart mid season. No performance, crash prone...they had to act. After they "relieved" him he was quite good again. I still think he completely cracks under pressure...and is still too crash prone for a top seat as we saw it in Brazil.

It seems that the rumors are getting stronger. Perez is out and Lawson is in.
Promoting the slowest driver, spectacular haha
I think Perez out is clear, the question is still if Perez is smart and takes his hat early enough and has a nice goodbye this weekend. Or if they just end it in the winter...
The point Lawson being in...I think the rumor is just bases on the point that Horner is not convinced of Yuki, which is an old statement. Not sure if we can read into this.
