Absolutely, even though SAI clearly lost the qualifying battle he’s gotten much better. This was a great pair of drivers performance wise.

I just wish SAI was more of a team player but he’s undoubtedly good. He has to push like there’s no tomorrow in the race, that special aggression he reserves for his team mate, nothing to lose, race your last Ferrari race Carlos.

I can’t decide if he has gotten better or there simply hasn’t been a car LEC feeels absolutely at ease with since early pre TD 2022 and that has equalized the situation on qualifying. Especially this year LEC has had more issues in qualifying than any other since he joined F1 .. I’d argue it’s his worse qualifying performance since he started his career.
