Well, it’s a bit difficult to discuss with you, if you can’t accept simple things like that the team isn’t named „Aston Martin F1 Team“, that’s just a Brand or whatever the team presents themselves in the public. „Limited“ is just the legal form of the company, hast nothing to do with a holding.

The F1 company is named „AMR GP Limited“. Their parent company is the „AMR Performance Group Limited“, where Cowell is director, the Performance Group Limited also controls others like the Performance Technologies.

The parent company of the „AMR Performance Group Limited“ is the „AMR GP Holdings Limited“. This is finally the company which is owned by many shareholders, majority shareholder at the end of 2023 was „Racing Point UK Holdings Limited“ (58%). This company has a parent company on the British Virgin Islands, „Racing Point Limited“, which is controlled by Lawrence Stroll.

If you look at this article https://racingnews365.com/aston-martin- ... -f1-season it says:
"Previously known as Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team, Cognizant will be dropped for next season with the Silverstone squad formally becoming Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team, from January 1st, 2024."

I don't make this --- up.

Look at this https://www.astonmartinf1.com/en-GB/ at the very top left hand side of the page it says the same thing.

Maybe there is a difference in name they use to project to the world and what the registered name is for finacial reasons?

Sponsorship doesn't equal ownership.

Interesting article although mainly a resume of different articles. It does say the tunnel will be available on Jan 1.

Agreed, it's a name.

PlanetF1 is often a clickbaity website. Not that they are always wrong, but I would rather trust AutoRacer's February claim over this.

Aston front wing was asked to be redesigned during the season in 2023, what were they doing? How was it different to the extreme flexing of flaps of Mclaren and Mercedes?

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but McLaren and Mercedes brought cars that could win races with wing flex. Aston while great were always half a second behind. There was also a midseason tire compound change by FIA last year at Silverstone. My opinion is that and Aston's then allowed Flexi wing made them very good.

Aston in the end wasn't good enough to win races and others simply have more political weight.

FIA and F1 want multiple teams to win. They'll do anything to keep the show going.
Call a spade, a spade.

Is not really just banned because of flex. Was something problem against the outwash rules how the whole wing and flaps was working. Remember, nobody on the gird had so big and angeled front flaps as Aston. After the ban, they made like every 2nd race new front wing ,but nothing was work unfortunately. The first generation AMR 23 wings was very powerful to generate Y250 vortex aroundthe wheel, which at FIA was a big NO-NO since 2022.
Newey also mentioned back in that the most important thing is the Y250 vortex.
"Y250 vortex can potentially extract air at the edge of the floor, therefore producing a suction effect that improves aerodynamics efficiency in this area. On the other hand, the Y250 vortex may also have a benefit on managing front wheel wake by pushing it away from the car."
