I wonder there is no sweat about not having a ‘title’ sponsor.
If Mclaren is getting biggest revenue from all just from regular sponsorship deals, then the ''title'' must cost a lot at this point, or it is simply this might be a strategy to go with 50 smaller sponsorships instead of having to lean heavy on 1-2 marketing partners.

There is surely less risk in multiple smaller deals as well. If you have 1 or 2 decide not to renew, or fail to pay (unlikely as that may be) you're less exposed than, for example, Haas were with Rich Energy.

Yea I agree, I meant to say ‘no wonder they aren’t sweating’. Having lots of partners rather than one or two makes quite a lot of sense really.

Seems to me Mclaren are just supremely but not arrogantly confident right now.

Whether or not it’s intentional but they are majorly flexing right now. Zak to say that he thinks they are the most commercially successful team ever and that the team is known only as ‘McLaren Racing Team’ with no title sponsor, then to have all those championship winning cars on show last night, some even suggested it was a flex that they sprung the surprise of the new car last week to the media….

I just hope it all translates on track too. Either way good job Zak =D>

Looks like the following sponsors/partners have departed after 2024 season:

Darktrace
Coca Cola
Cadence
Vmware
Levi's
Is just a date/contract thing. They will be back before the season starts. Though with the higher rate card, I wonder if DarkTrace can keep the full rear wing rear
Wow isn't it crazy how none of these sponsors actually came back? Wild. Who could've possibly predicted that

Yeah i think they build the car to be an advertising board hence it os so plain.

Plenty to go, though. If we can remain a top team and regularly challenge then the income will go up further.

Either that or he tied the sponsors into a tiered payment structure so that their payments would flex up.or down based on performance. More so than a normal bonus system.

Coca Cola may not have liked sharing the same car with Monster Energy and decided to call it a day….

I thought Coca Cola owned shares in Monster?

So did I, however I believe Coca Cola bought a stake in 2015 then Monster Beverage corporation bought them back in 2018

The share buyback was of non CC shares and increased they holding to near 20%.

As to why they arent on the car, could be for any number of reasons.

I'd guess one reason might be that McLaren upped the sponsorship prices due to winning the constructors title and Coca Cola ducked out. McLaren will have the most visibility in the pit lane being in the number 1 garage. It'll be weird seeing them in that position after such a long time. But a good weird.

Look at the record of CocaCola as major brand partner in any sport, let alone motorsport. Their identity has always been somewhat muted and/or itinerant, never synonymous with a team, the Erebus team in Australian Supercars the only recent exception I recall and that for only a year, then gone. I suspect it's their corporate policy.

They support events and not teams. Usually the biggest events like the Olympics and World Cup.

The fact they were on the Mclaren was a bit of an oddity.

Onwards and upwards. We'll continue to grow.

Zak Brown has spoken about this before, saying they don’t care for a title sponsor who could leave and cause them to have no sponsorship revenue (ie Vodafone). Instead, he’d rather have a lot of smaller sponsors allowing them to generate just as much and have a constant revenue stream. Also mentioning it being better companies since it’s a lot cheaper and they don’t have to commit for as long, but that’s probably marketing speech.
