Sky saying the data showing Aston through corners is on par with McLaren and Ferrari
But what are they based on, on slow laps? But come on, just look from the cockpit and compare with the others onboard.
The telemetry data between Piastri and Alonso above you

Sky is just trying to create excitement for engagement/viewership. This is testing and most of the telemetry is not relevant at all. Don't fall in the trap of bias and believe only what you already want to believe and disregard the rest of the facts.

It does not show what he was referring to. Even both team are running different agendas of testing so it is useless to compare to other teams or dirvers.

They worked out McLaren was running more power so it would even out and they’d end up on par

Id rather see Lance go at it with a C3 lap and see how the car behaves . You may not know exact fuel loads but the cars behaviour says a lot of things, but they haven't run almost any laps today

I don't know what's going on, he was just coming out on some C3 tyres before the red flag and hasn't done anything since the restart?

It is useless to compare telemetry, fuel loads and different engine power. Two things we can see: consistency in the laps (see the times like in 2023 that Alonso dropped every lap he did) and the onboard that shows the car's behavior. Today they did very few laps, those few the times were getting higher, Alonso's onboard better than Stroll's, car much more nervous than this morning. In any case negative tests, if they still have to understand the car after 4 years with these regulations we are not in a good position.

We won't know anything about how the car measures up to the competition until Stroll does his race simulation tomorrow night. Too much speculation about the car being either good or bad.

With less than 1 hour left until the end of the session, so far everyone who drove the car in the afternoon/evening period has lowered the times set in the morning, except the rookies and Stroll. :-k

Just look at the race time table, Verstappen fixed on 32.6 even lowering it after 8/9 laps of tyres, at around 11 he goes up to 32.8/9. Norris same times with medium tyres more or less, with hard tires it's on a costant low 33.0/1. Mercedes came up with newer tyres and was running from 33 to 33.6. Ferrari did another kind of work. All the rest do another sport, invisible Aston, some laps of stroll (the best 32.9 and then it rose dramatically.). Of course different strategies, but if on a tyre with many laps you go down with the times the car works well, Redbull and McLaren above Mercedes, Ferrari is not yet known but it seems fast. So also From the tests you can already understand who is fast and who is not

It's been a few years since I've been able to understand Aston Martin's testing program. Today they will be the team that has done the fewest laps.

AMR25 apparently had an issue which resulted in little running by Stroll. It has not been specified yet

Personally so far I have no clue where the car is at the moment

Been looking at russels long run and they have a lot of deg. I think it’s gonna be another year of us having big tyre deg in race trim
