MBS is going nowhere on account of the fact that the FIA is run as a UN-style voting circus and he just bribes all the small countries. Every member gets an equal vote, doesn't matter if they are relevant to motorsport or not.
He’s not going anywhere because Middle East sovereign wealth funds essentially bankrolls most of the grid / F1.
F1 is a British Sport, governed by the French, promoted by the Americans, and all bankrolled by the Middle East. Follow the money.
If we just followed the money there is far more investment coming out of Europe and America compared to the ME. You are missing the forest for the trees.
The issue is that the FIA runs like a global assembly, and when you give banana republics (who could give a **** about motor racing) power in an assembly they will demand something in return for their support. It's a hustle. MBS is simply in the best position to oblige being able to use the power and money of the FIA to his advantage. And he has obviously shown himself willing to do that, he has already consolidated power to the presidency and severely hurt the FIA finances.
