I think the biggest surprise will be Merc. I think Russell is the dark horse this year.
I think Macca has a .3 - .5 second lead on the field.
I think Red Bull is stronger than most expect.
Ferrari is unknown imo
All in all, you haven’t got a clue

The forecast for the weekend is looking tricky…

https://weather.metoffice.gov.uk/foreca ... 2025-03-10

32’ Friday, 37’ Saturday, then a big drop to 25’ for the race

Setting these cars up to get the best in quali and then the race, especially with a chance of rain on Sunday, is going to be a challenge

The tarmac on Saturday is possibly going to be the hottest we are likely to see all year. The rubber is going melt!

I think this will blow the current thinking on pecking order wide open for quali. Who ever manages to get the most from the tyres in these conditions will grab the pole

Sunday will be a lot more representative of the weather for the season I think. If there is rain, and it looks to be about a 50/50 chance, it does t look like it will be heavy and may well not fall during the race, then the competitive order will shuffle from Saturday

I can’t believe we’ve got the first 5 races in just 6 weeks… what a great start to a long season this will be!

Max to take pole position and dominate the field on sunday. Everyone after round one will say season over. :D

I can at least dream of this scenario, but would prove all teams wrong and so called experts. In reality I expect Red Bull better then in testing, but will need few races to fine-tune the car and then they could extract more performance. The point is that we need to wait at least until Q3 to see the real pace of all of the teams.

I can see Max on the front row, maybe P3. But I don't think he's winning the race or making the podium.

All fun speculation.

Anything other than a McLaren front row lockout would be a huge surprise. Behind them, it's a guessing game at this point.
