Leclerc will be fuming.
I think today he is relieved to see they are in first and second raw. Please stop this nonsense imaginary fight between our drivers, we have the best pair on the grid and someone is trying to make it a weakness…
its a YOKE, chill
A YOKE?? Are you saying Leclerc is as brittle as an egg shell??

Yeah buddy! Forza Ferrari!

Clearly McLaren has the pace (if their drivers can manage it) but we’re not Australia-levels of off the pace. Might make this an interesting championship between the mclarens, max, and the big reds! Forza MF Ferrari babyyyyy

Great great lap by Lewis. He is a master of this track and i’m quite sure he was the quickest to adapt to the new tarmac with only 1 session of FP.

would love to see data where this car is quicker compared to last year. charles said they need to work on low and medium, but high speed is improved a lot compared to last year.. is this visible in data?

In my opinion Lewis made a big mistake in the last corner and lost quite a lot there

Is it because they can run the car at the optimum ride height here being nice & smooth? I don’t know whether that Aussie rumour was debunked/shot down.
Team ANTI-HYPE. Prove it, then I’ll anoint you.

I always said Charles isn't the level as Sainz/Lewis on setting up the car or moving the car into the window to make it perform. Its interesting lewis actually said car is "not bad" in slow corners -so who do you believe?

I think it showed today Lewis's car was very well behaving, so Ricci and Lewis got the set-up bang on.
But Charles is going to out-qualfy lewis over the season -As he is the fastest over 1 lap NO DOUBT.

I’ve seen no evidence so far to support that. It’s essentially taking his Merc Q struggles and expecting that to translate to Ferrari, which, as of right now, is not happening.

Exit of 14 to the finish line. Max made up nearly two tenths.

Seemed like Lewis broke later and it hurt his exit.

Leclerc in T14 is faster than Lewis at 9 km per hour, Lewis was clearly mistaken and lost a couple of tenths there for sure

Lewis lost 0.08s more or less.
Let’see how the sprint goes. Expecting McL to be very fast. Norris had the potential to be on pole by some margin and they seem super strong with tyres management.

LeClerc losing time to Hamilton in T1-2-3 and T6. From data, looks like his car is struggling to rotate due to understeer. Hamilton has a nice sharp front end, looks like. Otherwise, nothing wrong with LeClerc's car for the rest of the lap. I think a +1 or +2 front flap adjust should get this sorted.

Not Verstappen was +0.2 behind Lewis before T14, after T14 - 0.018

Leclerc had this issue last year as well with Sainz gaining around 0.2s on him in these corners. The difference is that Sainz was slower in S2 and S3.

Verstappen just before the final corner was behind by around 0.090 according to F1 Tempo.
