Looking at Norris weekend and overall racecraft he will be eaten by Max, Lewis, Leclerc. He is gonna be tough to be in the podium as well.

Maybe not but we will see. In any case they should never give again team orders.

Lando saying that the car is just generally Feisty.

Also saying they changed the setup a lot as the previous setup took them nowhere.

Oscar would be on pole even without improvement on last lap. Mega first lap.

Btw interesting to see in the team messages that Will Joseph was suggesting to Norris to change the angle of the front wing either before Q3 or before the last lap. Setup work is constant.

1-3 then. First thing for Norris to do is keep Verstappen behind and then chase Russell. The car is much faster than Mercedes and sooner or later he will pass him. Better sooner rather than later. We don't need him cooking his tyres by being so many laps behind Russell.

I'm happier with 1-3 with VER in 4 than I would be with 1-2 with VER in 3.

That Red Bull has amazing 100-200kmh and threatened McLarens in Australia at the start.

Not sure it's much faster than Mercedes.

He's not been getting the rotation he wants at the hairpin, for most of the weekend.

He was already over 0.2 down at that point, so he just sent it and it did not work.
But yes, same happened in SQ3.

Honestly, I just had the chance to watch the highlights of the sprint race now and I cringed when I saw him wander off-track on the braking zone. Like come on, what the hell is that, not even in any kind of pressure.
Repeat of Spa last year.

Car confidence aside, things like that should never happen at the top. Cost himself 2 positions.

Lando said he just went into the corner a bit too fast. Starts are not his strongest strength. He’s a clever driver, he’ll get there

The car’s clearly got some flaws, but it’s great to see they’ve finally hooked it up, and shown the car does have the pace

Top job by Piastri, I’m sure he’s got many more performances like that in him, this year. It’s gonna be a good fight till the end. Let’s hope McLaren can find a decent development rate still, and keep that between the 2 of them!

I was wondering when you'd wake up :D

Not wrong though, the car, setup, conditions are not to blame. He's having a mare whilst his team mate takes the plaudits, which is what makes it worse.

Buuuut... not bad Qualification for the race and the big points are tomorrow.

Good job from Oscar.
The clean air will be vital from what we saw from the sprint.

Speaking about the sprint. What on earth was Lando doing, just when you think he’s turned a corner regarding his poor first laps
Just a fan's point of view
