I mean, realistically I think people should stop thinking about the championship altogether. It's a massive long shot. The Mclaren duo aren't the best, but their car advantage isn't gonna be surmountable over such a long season. They are always the fastest car, all the time, everywhere.

We haven't seen the real RB21 (Rd 7). Until Rd 7 proves otherwise, there are possibilities. Mclaren updates have to work. Rob Marshal went from Red Bull to Mclaren and now the Mclaren is becoming difficult and only 1 driver can drive it. Sound familiar?

No need to throw the towel. Its a long season, we have seen in season power balance shifts in various ground effect seasons. A mechanical DNF or significant driver error will have a big impact too. Piastri and Norris might develop some beef too. Alot can happen.

To be fair, I saw zero chance of winning the WDC after Australia, 2022. Ferrari seemed faster and more reliable and Leclerc already had like 45 points or so advantage. Then it turned out to be almost too comfortable at the end.

It is ok to acknowledge that chances are heavily against Max, but there is no reason to completely give up just yet.

In hindsight, the team already made clear that there would be a struggle until Rd 7 so there's no reason to have different expectations from week to week when it's the same car from the start of the year. Imola and Barcelona will be the 2 key races to draw some conclusions for the season.
Interestingly they are on the 2 far ends of a triple-header. With Monaco between the two as a meaningless filler.(meaningless from pure performance point of view)

Piastir doing well now is a blessing for you RB fans. He's a long way back behind Max and Lando. He's basically going to steal points from Lando and ensure Max and Lando stay withing a handfull of points from each other.
I still think Lando is the better quality driver and will have the better season.

The two McLaren drivers taking points off each other is going to help Max. But they need upgrades and/or the flexi wing clamp down helping them.
