Okay, got it. And with mandatory parts you mean that I should trim the plank with the floor in the cad software?

To summarise my WSL journey:
Many thanks for this awesome tutorial !

I thought I went though it, however, while building the case, it got stuck and display this error in the ubuntu terminal :

Does anyone have any idea on what might be the mistake I'm doing ?

best regards

Alex

This one is strange. You could think that you simply do not have the permission to write there. But you do have it. Because before writing the fvSchemes file, it first creates the system folder which seems to have worked. Also it looks like it also wrote some stl files even before this step.
My best guess is that your hard disk is full. I would check that and just to be sure try writing the case to a different folder. Maybe MFlow is allergic to straccm?

I wondered when we'd get the first one! I was just getting my blender scene set up actually.

Beautiful! at first glance it already seems to comply with the minimum radius of curvature rule (2nd race)

Awesome looking car.

Regarding the new rule introduced from the second race, would it be possible to provide feedback on all cars submitted for the first race—specifically whether they comply with the rule and which areas are problematic?

hehe well spotted for Scarccm :D

So, the disk is quite empty actually, (916Go available) I've tried other disk, shorter path etc... and I still have the same issue.

I've registered quite lately (like monday morning), haven't received an email yet (don't know if that's normal or not). But I guess it's not a big deal as this will be a bad DNS for me ! (I still had a few stuff to design on that car (brake duct and mirror), in the old mantium Aero balance was way off, but I wanted to wait for the final geometry before trying to deal with it. And I must confess motivation is quite low with me not succeeding to make mantium work.

by the way, I do not know if it's only me but it looks like the STL mandated parts and the parts which are within the MVRC_R09.stp (which was nicely organised!) are not positionned the same way, some 50mm offset there and there, and mandated suspension were not within the suspension fairings I've designed.

have a nice first race guys, if anyone had similar issue with Mflow, and find a solution, I'll be happy to test it !

best regards

Alex

Good question. I can prepare new wheels for the renderings but after the first race submissions.

Very interesting, looks to be very heavily loaded at the front so I’m curious how you’ve balanced it. I’ve found rear downforce hard to come by so far!

I’m on LinkedIn but only with my personal account - Ján Kapráľ. I reposted it right now.

I’m still trying to balance it at the rear. Rake helped with cleaning the wake inside the diffuser but also added more DF to the front. We will probably make some changes for the second race.
