Hideous. Had the perfect opportunity to do a NART-inspired blue and white livery and they do this.
oh, what could have been

It's so bad it's almost impressively bad. It takes skill to make something so off-putting.

Ferrari's gotta have some stipulation where they cant change the red of the car body, all of their "new/special" liveries have just been rear wing, front wing and sometimes the shark fin area changing colors, and the blue looks awful with the red
I said it last year and again this: Ferrari being a red car is a big deal for Italy. It’s the national racing colour and when they did briefly run in blue back in the day, it was in protest of the Italian authorities. They’re going to run an all blue car.

I’m personally pleased about that - a Ferrari should be red - but I do also wish they wouldn’t haphazardly throw some random blue (which couldn’t clash much more with the red) on the car for the sake of a bit more exposure for their sponsor. But that’s capitalism, I suppose!
This livery offends me much more than if they simply dropped the red for a single race.

It's incredible to me that a company that makes among the most beautiful and classy sports cars in the world, came up with this. But hey, it's only one race, thankfully.

HP is destroying Ferrari, aesthetically. The overalls are super ugly with too many HP circles, the car is getting worse and worse...

Exactly. It would barely be mentioned if the Ferrari had the performance of the Macca. Just the frustration of this season building up and people needing to vent. The issue is the team going backwards, and this season being close to a write-off.

... Hamilton’s not being employed as a #2 driver. Something will have to give. I’m not sure he’ll be around for 2026 if things don’t improve significantly.
Maybe they don't want to say it clearly, but the choices say it all. Hamilton is a #2 for 2025 (I will continue to struggle ... = they don't want to change anything on my direction). Ferrari doesn't have enough resources to experiment on Lewis requirements, but then it was a mistake to call Lewis, they should have keeped a younger driver like Sainz simply because they have that extra energy to struggle and hide problems under personal efforts.

The equation is simple, you gain from an experienced driver to guide you and highlight quickly what's wrong with the car or you stay with someone less experienced who will make efforts to make you happy and you pray for him to find the winning combination (adequation car setup & driving style).

Sainz crashes too much. At least Hamilton, although slow, doesn’t tend to rack up repair bills. If the time isn’t in the car, the way he prefers to drive it, Hamilton doesn’t then crash trying to wring another 100th out.

Now watch while Lewis totals the car in Miami… :D

Wish this hp deal would end. It’s hideous. I know it has zero bearing on the performance but my god, who thinks theses liveries up

Hamilton:

There are a lot of things [causing difficulties]. So many different things, there is no one thing in particular, nothing in particular. When I moved to Mercedes, even there, my first six months were difficult, I had to acclimatize, I had to get used to working with new people. Even the engineers have to learn to find the right tool for a driver with a different driving style, they are used to different drivers and driving styles for a combination of different aspects.

But I think in general you have to try to both drive instinctively and think consciously about what you're doing, but I'm definitely trying to work hard to adapt. My Italian isn't improving much, so I have to work harder.

Miami? I have no idea what to expect. We're trying to have the best weekend possible, we're not bringing any updates this weekend, but we'll try to keep optimizing and improving the car. Charles did a fantastic job in the last race, he showed what the car can do in the race, so we want to try to replicate that kind of performance.
Leclerc:

In Jeddah, it went really well. We had a good weekend. We've been going in the right direction for a few races. We're continuing to push in this direction, which I found very interesting. This time we also had a little more time to try things out on the simulator and have a solid base to tackle this weekend.

Can the characteristics of the Miami track match the car well? I don't think so, but I hope we'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm convinced of the direction we're following, and it's the one that allows me to extract even more performance from the car. So never say never, I believe in it. When we have the car to win, we have to be there to win. As always, I'm approaching this weekend with one goal in mind, which is to win on Sunday, and we'll do our best.
Realistically seems like Ferrari would be third force this week at max, but hopefully that still results in decent points and perhaps more importantly, learning about the car...

Leclerc: “Extreme” set-up changes make Ferrari F1 car trickier but faster
Max Verstappen has entered the chat

So Ferrari is trying Red Bull's recipe for success. They have a slightly expensive number-two driver though.

Leclerc:

Q: You've consistently outperformed your teammate, a seven-time world champion. That must be enjoyable. Do you have any explanation for this?

A: Honestly, I'm not sure there's a specific explanation [for Hamilton's performance]. My focus has been on myself and extracting my own potential through different setups. Of course, Lewis is someone I've always admired even before I entered Formula 1, and being ahead of a teammate is rewarding in a way. But it's not my main source of satisfaction. Right now, we're competing mostly for third place at best, otherwise it's P4, P5, or P6, which is difficult to enjoy. My primary goal is to improve the car quickly so that both of us can compete for wins regularly, like Lewis did in the sprint race in China with that fantastic victory. Hopefully, next time I'll have a chance to win, and in the main race. Regardless, I can say we are both giving our absolute best in every aspect. Lewis is just getting started this season. He's incredibly fast, and I still have much to learn from him.

i mean it shouldnt be surprising, right now Ferrari at best can get p3, could change when they bring upgrades and if/when they are able to lower the car to its proper ride height
