Yes, I agree. This is why any set of rules -- or laws -- has judges who decide whether the defendant is adhering to the SPIRIT of the law in addition to the LETTER of the law. Too many fans use the letter to defend a spirit violation. Granted, this involves some level of subjectivity but until we get an unbiased AI driver steward, a single individual or small group of people should judge both letter and spirit
PS: I'm not a lawyer and this does not constitute legal advice
Does your way of thinking also extend to the technical regulations? Or does the “spirit” only work where convenient in defense of Mclaren interest?
If that is a jab at Mclaren and their completely legal flexi drs wing or their supposed water tyres then I have news for you. Red Bull is the last team who should be complaining about illegalities considering their whole history is a controversy of illegalities. Overbudget Gate which built up their dominating cars of 2022 and 2023, illegal assymetrical braking system, illegal front bib, masters of bending flexi wings rules from the Vettel era and let's not forget the fixed Abu Dhabi 2021 which they orchestrated along with stewards that are favoring Max all the time because they have shops and interests affiliated with honda. If Max Mosley would have been the president of the FIA, Red Bull would have been disqualified at least once. And that are simple straight facts.
