I kind of having an issue with that ..... If you look at the image below of ALonso vs Albon. The 2 vertical white lines are Turns 10 and 11, The time lost there is .250 of a second. But really the turn starts and ends at the 2 vertical red lines. The first vertical line is when Albon starts to brake (which is earlier than Alonso). The 2nd red line is just before turn 12. That 2nd red line I chose cause the way Alonso positions the car coming out of 11, he out accelerates Albon. So yes he does lose time but it's really only a tenth and half. Drivers adjust the way they go into corners and come out based on the strength of the car. I think the AMR25 has probems rotating (understeer). One way Alonso gets around that is he goes in hard, brakes late and to a slower speed, rotates the car to a straight exit and then accelerate hard out. He does that to minimize the loses. Turns are more than just the turn. You must include the prep to go into the corner and the time you save/lose until you start to prep for the next corner.
