Hi everyone!
I would like to request my two-day extensionto the submission deadline, in accordance with Rule 1.5 of the Sporting Regulations MVRC 2025. I already submitted request in the text file but I am also writing here just in case.

CAEdevice has chosen to make use of the 48-hour extension option for the deadline to submit the geometry for the Monaco race (Race 2).

I double checked everything and do not know what to change, which according to the rules will lead to a penalty, which will be pity, taking in to account all the effort I've put in to this competition.

May I get the exact reason for not meeting the 2.5 rule?
Yepp, thanks for asking. And as a small preface: The rules are not to annoy people or take away results from their hard work. Most rules are to keep sure you all have similar cars and do not somehow create a Le Mans style car, but F1 cars. This rule is mainly to ensure smooth racing operations in the background. To an extent it is also to avoid a potential way to directly cheat.

What you did, is submit many parts that you should not have, including the mandatory parts.

The good thing with our current penalty system is that it works very well. Many years ago, there were always a lot of rule infractions. These have almost gone down to zero. That we had so many last race, is I assume for the most part because of the new rules an new teams.

I am not sure what is going on there with the exhaust flow. I can imagine what it could be. But for this race, we will keep everything as it is, as all teams will be affected the same. I will fix this together with the other issue, PurePowerRacing pointed out.
Thank you very much for the explanation, Andre.

Honestly, I have no doubts about the penalty system, the rules, or their importance in a competition like this. Sometimes, however, more details are needed to better understand the issue and, accordingly, to resolve it.

Could you please also check the engine inlet from the first race? Last week, I noticed that the inlet behaves like a solid surface—it blocks the airflow and creates pressure, which significantly affects the air behind it.
This is how it looks in paraview, together with the geometry in SW:

Here is also a snapshot of my car for the second race:

All rules nonconformities must be fixed.
The main areas of change and improvement were the sidepods, engine cover, and an entirely new floor.

Some team once more just submitted a file called 2026 Full Car Assembly.SLDASM.
I am willing to accept a delayed entry, if this team can fix this and send the files as they should be.

There are two extension requests with these names: Requesting a 2-days extension.txt, Submission Extension.txt.
One text file is empty and one has a beautiful text but does not mention the team name. How am I supposed to know who is requesting something here?

The first one is from me. Really sorry for the confusion.

CAEdevice car for Race 2 (Monaco).

I am very satisfied with the performance, as in the first race, but the advantage of Team JJR and the comeback of Team G-Raph will be difficult obstacles to overcome for the victory.

So here is the yellow car that everyone fears so much!
I have gone for a 2022-retro livery (yellow wings) as I feel as unprepared as for my rookie race back then.

Arriving at the second race with a grand total of 6 CFD simulations (all fast template with no Cps or Cpt export for some reason), I should really not be as favourite as some of you make it sound. I am well behind everyone and don't have the correlation knowledge to the official results that you now all have. But you never know, with a bit of luck I might still snatch a podium! :P

I have picked a concept that felt right to me before seeing the other cars, although this was a bit limited by having to use my exisiting CAD models (because of time). I have used all 6 CFD simulations to fix obvious flow separations, adjust balance and reach an acceptable cooling level. I'm reasonably happy with the results.

So I have done no development and still don't intend to this season (including low drag packages). But I'm not entirely convinced that I have the right sidepod and floor board, so now I am intrigued about trying a couple of different concept of these.

Good luck everyone!

You chose the right word: fear. That yellow car and the mystery around its designer are really keeping the top MVRC teams awake at night.

The car is now not only fast, but also looks great. There are some clever details I was hoping our rivals wouldn't notice, and one thing in particular that I haven't been able to get working on my own car, and that worries me. I’m really looking forward to seeing the numbers.

Second one was mine. Sorry. I submitted it and then I realised that I didn’t write name of the team in it. So I submitted it again with my name in it.
One more thing though. For Miami I submitted txt file with rake and ride adjustment. But in the official results and offficial cfd run it was blank. Maybe it was my mistake but I really hope that this time I will have the car adjusted. I submitted it with the txt file (double checked if it’s correct) and I also left the file that changes setting within MFlow when you hit “build the case” button. Just in case my settings were pitch:-0.5 and ride height adj -20
I would be pleased if you can checks that the adj file is there and it isn’t blank. Thanks.

Always possible that I made a mistake. I can check it out tomorrow. It is important to flag such issues immediately though! But, I will have a look. Could be that I never entered your values (one of the manual steps, so always a good possibility of mistakes...), could also be that they did not show up in that final table. That one is a bit broken and will get fixed as soon as I upload the results of the current race.

The file that I received from official cfd was blank so I think that I made a mistake. But the results were much better than on my runs so I left it be haha. But right now I used submission extension to find the sweet spot that’s why I hope that I submitted the files correctly and everything will be okay.

Yepp, the mistake is on your side. You submitted a blank file.
