The "shaved" inspected tyres are McLaren items !

Those in first image all McL wheel covers.

An I missing something here ?
You know, I didn't even see that either when I saw the post. So as you say, I think we're missing something here.

It feels like we have a pessimistic poster going a bit overboard.

I think the team generally accept their own concerns about tyre life etc, but obviously here they are looking at their own stack as reference to intrinsic setup.

Of course, the McL examples would be interesting to all teams as they currently appear to be pinnacle of longer run tyre usage :D

This kid Antonelli doesn't seem be to be as big a talent as he was sold to us. On the other hand, Hadjar is performing better in that Racing Bull, relatively speaking.
I just heard Jolyon Palmer saying in FP3 commentary that he is more impressed with Hadjar and Antonelli.

Well they ain't getting pole on merit, but second row seems achievable. P3 ahead of Verstappen is doable I reckon.

Literally the same lap time as Max- great effort GR

Think he might struggle to hold off the Ferraris tomorrow though.

Hard to gauge how the Ferrari will fare. They didn't really do any long stints IIRC.

Let’s hope not since they completely changed the settings on GR s car to have a greater race pace… I believe the times in FP3 prove that let’s pray it really works tomorrow

It’s time…best result would probably be P4 and P5, but I expect a P6 and P7….unless they found something

George looks like he may have the pace of Lewis. Just biding his time for now.

The Car needs aero modification because the rears cannot handle the temperature spike from the wake coming off the front tyres.
