Missing FP1, FP2 and still quicker in FP3, Q1, Q2 and got caught by the dirty air from Hadjar in Q3 (purple in S1) come on.
I agree, it seems like he knew he had the pace for a top three and then when he lost it because of the dirty air he ended up driving too hard to compensate and lost the lap.SoulPancake13 wrote: ↑14 Jun 2025, 23:42Did LEC see dirty air from Hadjar - yes, most likely given his comments post session, but I think it was also a case of overdriving. Unfortunate really... I think fastest of the soft tyre runners was possible today.
I think C6's had no chance to put it on pole. He would have lost out in S2 regardless, but the lap started out really strongly. Could have definitely beaten Oscar with a perfect rest of the lap, or at the very least, put it on P4.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 00:03I agree, it seems like he knew he had the pace for a top three and then when he lost it because of the dirty air he ended up driving too hard to compensate and lost the lap.SoulPancake13 wrote: ↑14 Jun 2025, 23:42Did LEC see dirty air from Hadjar - yes, most likely given his comments post session, but I think it was also a case of overdriving. His comment indicates this anyway -
He backed out of the lap immediately after the dirty air issue. Charles could/should have done better in the first run. I was surprised he was 0.4 off on new tyres after the first Q3 runs.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 00:03I agree, it seems like he knew he had the pace for a top three and then when he lost it because of the dirty air he ended up driving too hard to compensate and lost the lap.SoulPancake13 wrote: ↑14 Jun 2025, 23:42Did LEC see dirty air from Hadjar - yes, most likely given his comments post session, but I think it was also a case of overdriving. We will see tomorrow. Enough with driver rivalry
I was surprised they didn't bring out the medium in Q3 like some of the other teams did, if they were trying to go for pole (and by Leclerc's comments it looks like they were)
Very realistic way of thinking! Fully agreedEmag wrote: ↑15 Jun 2025, 00:05I think C6's had no chance to put it on pole.
