Very strong 1 lap pace from STR on the other side, has to be said after the criticism the last months. Hopefully not a low fuel glory run.

STR was quick even in long runs compared to ALO, so it was not low fuel or high engine glory run.

race pace simulations on this track are mostly meaningless since most people encounter traffic and dirty air every lap.

alonso loses around 0.250 tenths in sector 2 alone to stroll. im assuming a difference in setup then?

Don't know about the setup differences but Alonso is braking earlier than Stroll into most of the corners. In FP1 he was having to use the left toggle to get the braking into turn 3 for it to work. I didn't hear problems about that in FP2.

On the 2nd hot lap in FP2, when he came into the pits and sat ...He asked for more front wing....They didn't say how much publicly.

AMUS saying car is running at the maximum in terms of low ride height, which is inducing some bouncing. Can be masked in qualy trim but not so much in race trim

Alonso said the car was doing something it shouldn't do under braking in turn 3.

They also said something about using diff 6 setting for the corner.

Today is Friday, they still need to measure the plank usage and go over the data to finalize the setup. The car might get closer to the ground or not.

Stroll definitely got Alonso's number around here in the recent years, at least it's good to see Stroll showing the car is not too bad around here (think he looks good for Q3). Excited for Silverstone especially
