I hope Ferraris race pace is better and we can put some pressure on Mclaren especially at the pit stops
Its not about pace, its about tyre deg, and did they fix the brakes so that there were no more lico in the last third of the race.
the new floor is meant to address their issues with lico, so lets see how they do tomorrow

Wow well done to Charles....as usual carrying the car on his back...blah lap from his less than capable team mate
Are you really comparing a 7 time world champion, the statistically most successful F1 driver in history…to someone that wasn’t even close to even win one title

You must be a comedian
give him the car with 80hp more and Bottas as a second driver, and Charles would be 10th time WDC.

8-1 this season for Charles (should be 9-0 on pace, cause of the lucky SC for hamilton)

stop trolling.

Did they say that explicitly or is it just a guess?

(Not trying to take away from what you said, just wondering if I missed something where they spoke about the floor being related to lico)

I did not see the whole session just highlights, but noticed several times what looked to be the brown powder they get when grinding away the floor.
After already being caught out for this I hope they are watching for it. Things happen in races but I hate to se cars DSQ'd for minor stuff like this
When arguing with a fool, be sure the other person is not doing the same thing.

He already looked bad against Russell at Mercedes, and now he's doing the same against Leclerc at Ferrari. So actually, in my opinion, a comedian is someone who draws on long-past glories to evaluate a driver in the present or to place him above another who is currently and continuously whipping the floor with him. Its the here and now that counts and what the "comparison" was in relation to, not what was 10 years ago.
Hamilton beat Russell across their time together and has won more World Championships in the last ten years than any driver other than Schumacher or Fangio has ever won. Or was this an attempt at being an "Ironic" comedian?

Less an 1/10th is the difference between a superhuman effort from Leclerc, and a 'bleh' and 'less capable' effort from Hamilton? You must have an incredibly (and weirdly) high opinion of Hamilton although it would explain why you've followed him from the Mercedes threads.

Personally, I think it's Hamilton who probably overperformed slightly and Leclerc has likely underperformed slightly, although I've not checked the team radio or interviews yet.

Yawnnnnn just some trolling

Boys did well today, shame Ham messed up the last sector would've been nice to have a 2-3. But under a tenth doesn't warrant criticism by h2h waving trolls

Lec needs a good start and to slipstream his way past. The McLaren drag will affect their chances of overtaking. Could make it hard for Piastri too. [-o<
Yep, Adami said it was turns 6 and 7 where he lost the time. They'll be qualifying together and higher up more consistently if they bring a solid update that stabilizes the rear.
He definitely missed turn 6. A small snap and he did not meet the apex there. But then again all these years watching hamilton he never hits the apex at that turn. Not one of his strong tracks for sure. Amazing he was that close to Charles.

It's not one of his best tracks.
I also feel like he usually does well in Austria. Maybe it was just 2019 that sticks with me.
his lap in 2023 qualifying was sensational too
Thanks, I thought I wasn't imagining stuff. Great lap again by Charles, he really is so good.

Now hopefully they haven't messed up the good race pace this car has. It should be a straightforward podium from there.

Guys, if you are here to pick fights with other people, you might be shown the door. Just saying'. There's been deletions, there's been warnings, and it is still a mess.

And if you are here just to love or hate one particular driver, you are in the wrong forum, keep it low volume, keep it civil.

Please and thanks.

I mean, as the mod says, let’s stop the driver stuff - for one thing, this is a thread about the team, not the drivers, so it’s only pertinent insomuch as it serves the conversation about Ferrari (not tit for tat fanboyism).

I’m excited about the race today. The key will be having a good enough start that, at worst, there’s only McLaren(s) in front; if that’s the case, it will be great for them to be able to run their optional pace for a race distance - because of poor qualifying positions, I don’t think we’ve seen a Ferrari running its own race pretty much all season tbh.

I believe they're a bit premature on that graphic as the ATR time doesn't reset until Tuesday morning. If Ferrari have a stormer and Merc have a disaster, then that'll change around pretty quickly.

Indeed… all the talk of this floor meant to be resolving LICO…

I guess you can understand somewhat that the weather conditions are quite hot for the race, so maybe they have to conserve more than originally planned… but then you’ve got Oscar riding Lando’s tail in the McLaren without a barely care in the world for LICO or worrying about cooling.

Only outside chance… maybe trying for the 1-Stop on both cars? Hence why the need to conserve more?
