I think it looks very cool. And it is a unique design, so I like it.
Thank You So Much! I hope it performs well in this race.
Well, we all know, cool is always fast. Just remember to register your team, if you have not done so, yet.

Something that has been bugging me, is the quality of the Blender renders. Is there anyone here, who could help improve them, esp. the lighting situation?

Pretty quite here. I only today updated the rules. There is nothing that relevant in there. Just keep in mind, that I would like to now post the scrutineering results as quickly as possible. This means that appealing any findings will not be possible for delayed entries anymore.

The new MFlow version has quite some updates. Now, the minor bugs, I detected when running on cloudHPC have been wiped out. Also, we now have the correct turbulence model back on the wheels.
Together with cloudHPC, we will now schedule a webevent, where we will show you guys how to use MFlow on cloudHPC. I assume this will happen after the next race, but lets see, maybe we can make it faster.
I ran a test with the new version and saw 10% increases in load and drag. I’m assuming it was related to the tyre changes as everything was identical on the geometry side. More just for info than anything
That is a lot, I should run a test as well.
I did not have much time this week and will not tomorrow either. I have quite some results from the new Matteo Body but will have to share them next week.
Just now, I checked my test of the car with the correct turbulence wall function on the wheels compared to the one we used the first races. My numbers match up so well, that I even wonder if I am running the same simulation twice (the boundary conditions in the 0 folder are different, so I am not sure).
Can anyone else confirm that the wall model on the wheels affects the results this much?

For me +4% downforce and +10% drag (Race 02 geometry).

Is the increased downforce equally distributed between both axis?

I can confirm, although this may not apply to cars designed according to different principles.

Hi everyone, I'm back from vacation and I've gone through the latest regulation updates after a long pause from MVRC.

I have found that the updates, released after Monaco, include a more rational verification procedure (before running the simulations) and a general improvement of wording and shared files.
It looks like a solid job has been done, so thank you to the staff for that.

Since I paused development after the Monaco events (and also for my holiday break), I won’t be able (as planned) to submit an upgraded car (that will come for the race in Monza).
However, I decided to run the car that was originally planned for Monaco, with a slight wings setup refinement (no longer aimed at extreme downforce) and a simulation to check how the recent changes to the calculation model affect the CoP.

Good to hear. I'll also be submitting a car, I had a free couple of days and threw a new concept together. It's nothing revelational but a significant step forward and hopefully in the right direction wrt correlation too. Though I don't know that I'll really have much time to work on it going forward, perhaps some trimmed wings for Monza

Yeah baby, great car! Can I use the top render for the challenge homepage?
