A second away ? Someone’s going to get sacked for this.

Good riddance that Cardile's been gotten rid of and shipped off to Aston. Maybe he'll learn something from Newey.
Upgrades work the way they should by the looks of it.
So excited for the upcoming suspension!

Sickening. Charles lost the front row on the last corner. Turns 3-4 were poor. Have to see lap breakdown to see where it went. Most impressed with Russell, who was nowhere all weekend and pops up a P4. I know they are better in cooler condition but his S3 was mega.

damn that was disapointing even tho it was quite close compared to other track, man that stupid vigna would be loving this, one stop closer to firing fred i guess.. < this worries me lot more over all the performance from the car has improved its good step forward.. i don't know if podium is possible but p4 and p5 will be good point haul ..

Exactly the phrase I was thinking - bottled it completely.

The car seems a lot better at least but neither car seemed to improve from Q2 and it didn’t need much to have got us a front row (albeit Max’s lap seemed pretty special). Can’t believe we’re 5 and 6 this after the pace this weekend tbh.

Race pace is ultimately king here in Silverstone. Beating the Mclarens on Sunday was never a realistic option without something going wrong with them, but there's still a chance of a podium here if Verstappen gets gobbled up by them quickly enough. Though Verstappen does have the ideal situation with that skinny rear wing making it potentially harder for anybody to overtake him.

Either way, car continues to look reasonably good which is the most important thing.

dont see how this would have to do with Fred, it was driver error, both of them lost all their time in s3. Lewis was on course to get p2

We could've had a first row with one car, or maybe a second row lockout. It's difficult not to be disappointed...

I hope we can make up some ground tomorrow, but I'm pretty demoralized right now.

It doesn't help the drivers were both upset on the radio and I doubt their interviews will give us anything interesting. The simple fact is they both made a mistake. Maybe it's been too long since they drove a good car, they forgot how

He would have been p1. He was ahead of Verstappen but went too wide into the chicane compromising him through the right hander

Maybe they were both overperforming. There was no other car which touches the ground as much as Ferrari at quali. I am worried about the plank wear for the race

think about it they are looking to give themself excuse to fire him, according to original report that lunched the attack said Austria and Silverstone would be the evaluation, basically this them sending a message saying win or we fire, but usally from experience whenever managers make this kind of claim they have already made up their mind to let go so.. arghhh this is frustrating and sad.. other team don't have to worry about this kind of s**t...

Leclerc said in the media "[Despite the overall improvement from the floor] the car has other issues in qualifying we can't fix right now that hasn't been discussed much yet, but hopefully they'll be resolved soon."

* This is unrelated to his mistake, he said the mistake on the last corner was his own. He's just talking about general qualifying performance and gap to P1.
