Hmm, not sure I liked Oscar asking for the swap with Lando, there think he threw away the win - don't think he can complain too much about the penalty - Lando has the race under control now.\

Fantastic drive from both Oscar and Lando today.
Fully agreed. Asking for a swap in Silverstone, Lando's home race is just crazy and for something that is fully your own fault. They were not fighting for the race win and stewards intervened. This was another of a SC leader doing shady things (like Russell against Verstappen), I hope they clamp down on this.

The rules are obviously set, they each run their own race. The car in front pits first (this seems to be a rule).

Great work team, but we are lucky that Verstappen spun. This removed the need from Lando to again overtake Verstappen on track (after a slow stop). Without that spin who knows.

"When the clerk of the course had declared that the safety car was coming in that lap and the lights were extinguished, Car 81 suddenly braked hard (59.2 psi of brake pressure) and reduced speed in the middle of the straight between T14 and T15, from 218 kph to 52 kph, resulting in Car 1 having to take evasive action to avoid a collision. This momentarily resulted in Car 1 unavoidably overtaking Car 81, a position which he gave back immediately."

Only second 1-2 for McLaren at Silverstone.

Last one was David - Mika.

Oscar went and congratulated him, what are you on about.

Why Lando didn’t keep his dignity and be like “I’ve won and I’ll take the points, but I can’t celebrate as the place was gifted to me and nobody wants to win that way”

But no “woop woop, this is amazing etc”

And why should he do that? Oscar blunted on his own. Lando also blunted a few times this season. Should Oscar say it every time? .....

So let's recap.
1)Good job from Lando Norris. He did a silent race and in my personal opinion even though he did not deserve the win it was still a win.
2)Piastri on full rain where cars become equal showed why he's already passed Max Verstappen in skill or at least equal. Are people still want to ignore the Australian's skill? 15 seconds gap to the Dutch rainmaster and another 5 after the first Safety Car. This is a master class race from Oscar but I don't see the media giving him credit. I feel personally considering the past that the stewards have double standards regarding penalties.
3)Hulkenberg did a silent race and deserves 3rd. He is a fast and solid driver and should have had a chance at a top team.
4)Gutted for Lewis Hamilton as Ferrari screwed him a little with his strategy. He could have been 3rd.
5)Max did not perform as intended to a rain weather but at least he saved it at the end with 5th.
6)Stroll beat Alonso again on rain. What is going on here?

Not sure if I forgot anything.

In the interview, he made it a point to congratulate Hulkenberg but ignored his teammate

Why shouldn't he celebrate? He won fair and square.

Mclaren wins and loses as a team.
It is bloody annoying at times, but this philosophy has carried the team to where it is today.
The drivers will know how and when to respect these boundaries.

He said "Well done to Nico", nothing about Norris.

I'm happy for 1-2 but Lando was celebrating like he was better than Oscar today. Without the stupid penalty he wouldn't have won today in any case. A given victory.
