Strategy department needs new people.
Rosie Wait is a deer in headlights when it comes to strategy. She needs to be replaced as well as everyone else who is basically a liability.

Great race, strategy 10/10 and what a race pace…

even Sir LH in his slow Ferrari and Hulkerberg with a Sauber beat us finger in the nose

What a joke of a team, and the stunning strategy we have managed to do… we fully deserve the clown costume no doubt

Rosie Wait but yeah I know what you mean. Although the strategy has been bad for years before she took over as head of strategy.

Having the fastest cars hid their strategy weaknesses.

This year now is a total write-off with more and more disappointing races to come. 2026 car would be in wind tunnel now and this lab rat would crawl without any hopes for the next 10 races.

George having a gamble blunder couldn't have happened at a worse weekend, especially at a weekend where there are questions about his future with the team because a certain Max Verstappen is considering. Even after all of that, Max finished in P5 and George gambled away a potential P6-P4 place.

I know the team strategy was complete trash... but man I feel bad for George, the radio silence at the end was very telling...

Good Lord, the strategy calls today were absolutely terrible, to the point where it almost defies common sense. It’s not like some of these decisions are on the knife’s edge, where you gamble and end up losing. No, these decisions are basic, common-sense decisions. Seriously, hire someone with basic common sense! Are they so focused on numbers and data that they've completely lost touch with reality? I could have made better strategic decisions today just by watching the race on my TV. I assume they have strategy meetings in the morning? How could some of these calls even be made? I'm at a loss for words.

Pace was really bad with the inter as well. I wonder what excuse they’ll say on the next debrief? Anyways, I hope they do well in Spa, since I will be PRESENT.

Anyway, this year is a wash. McLaren is so far ahead that there's no saving this year's car, and it's not even worth getting upset over a race like this one, so I’m not going to.

I don’t want to see any more ‘upgrades’ (well new parts because half of them can’t even be called upgrades since they never work) brought to this year’s car. It’s a waste of time, money, and resources. Just move on completely to next year.

Yeah I'm not sure where they go with this season.

Spa looks like it might be fine weather wise, but apparently the drivers are fighting the strategy team as well as the tyres overheating.

How can the Mclaren turn on its tyres so fast in cold temps and keep them cool? Its insane. In Vegas, they will be DEADLY. Gosh…

At this point, they could upgrade the car all they want and Ferrari would still finish P2. They made a more consistent car, but at what cost? At least the diva W15 had its moments to shine...

It very has to be the rear suspension again and potentially the older version provided better stability through the highspeed and mind you the W15 was very good in that aera with a design that wasn't much different from the W16.

So I learned that in sim racing that the roll bars needs enough give or should I say squat for the car to rotate in the high speed. If properly stiffened and aligned this allows any car to work well depending on the tyre camber. The anti-lift is more than likely compromising the ability for the suspension to work properly because the angle of the wishbones doesn't give enough contact for the rear tyres. The old suspension was good in the high speed because of this, but lack in low speed due to tyres because more on the surface.

The tyre issue isn't necessarily suspension based, but mostly aero when it comes to wake management as I always said.

The fact that I probably discovered the main issue over a group of engineers with degrees and a lot of education is just embarrassing.

The team probably spent more time on the gesture for Nico than they will understanding their screw up.
