Mercedes will be good, no question. But Ferrari? We will see, maybe overhyped as usual. Before this season started, they were already declared champions, well, no exactly what happened...
And the Japaneese always downplay things. I do think the 3 current PU Manufacturers have a big edge from all the experience.
fuel suppliers are going to play a big part in the equation too. aramco should have a big advantage out the gate
I agree but I think that plays to the experience. They ALSO have experienced fuel manufactures.

The battery seems to be the crucial part, Cowell and Marko more or less said that the ICE won’t be a surprise.

Doesn't Honda make the batteries now and will they not continue to make the batteries? Sounds easy peasy lemon squeezy to me.

What will it take for Aston Martin to sign Max? I keep reading reports and rumors that Max is in talks with Toto.

If Aston Martin can not sign Max then who is an elite driver available?

STR-ANT seems plausible, easily the worst driver pairing on the grid currently…

Do you know for a fact that Max can break his contract and if so what those conditions are?

Newey has a habit of making "elite" drivers.

Everyone assuming Newey wants to work with him again too.

You think Daniel Ricciardo would disagree?

I've read that Max has a "performance clause" in his contract, to the effect that if Red Bull Racing is not performing to a certain standard Max can opt out of his contract. I'm not sure of the specifics...

If I was Max I would be looking to get out of Red Bull for 2026 and get to Aston Martin or Mercedes. Ever since Adrian Newey left they can not develop the car as effectively as other teams. I wouldn't bet my career on Red Bull Engines when Honda and Mercedes are proven to have the resources and capabilities.

The Aston Martin/Honda/Newey/Cowell/new wind tunnel combo looks promising.

I read that he needed to be for a minimum 3ird in the Championship for July 1 2025 to NOT be able to leave. Also 2nd on July 1st 2026.

if hes 4th or worse in the championship by midseason? i believe. ive heard the timeframe somewhere, but they state the clause being 4th or worse in one of the drive to survive episodes. i think marko said it.

Between The Race and Sky Sports F1 the most consistent part is lower than 3rd, the question mark seems to be whether that's by mid-season, end of July, or Summer Break.

If mid-season, then too late, if end of July then Spa could be interesting and if Summer Break then next 2 races could be interesting. Especially as George is the driver most likely to bump Max down the standings...
