Only today has it started working again properly - most of the previous week it's been loading without any graphics and the text is spread out vertically somewhat after each sentence.
There was a certificate issue last week but that got fixed in 1h. If the issue continued to happen after that I cannot explain differently than a caching problem on your browser's side.
Meanwhile I found and fixed a couple bugs with spammy links being constructed on Russian websites that caused excessive writing to our logs, leading to lots of I/O overhead and hence the inability of the server to handle every request properly. These bugs were there for a while but have been exploited increasingly throughout the year (maybe longer, but it went unnoticed). A problem with the recommend page for instance had 10MB of logs written for each such a crappy link request, with more than 200.000 such requests happening over the last 7 days.
If AI scrapers are still a problem, may I suggest looking into the Anubis web firewall? I've seen a few websites incorporating it already, so it might be a solution to your problem.
