If they think there's a big shower coming but clear afterwards, stopping the race to start and run straight through must be better than losing a handful of laps behind the safety car before it hammers down?

Force everybody to use full wets, and get going, I'm so tired that F1 is afraid of a little water ....
Yep. At least to clear up the standing water behind the safety car since they're not good to race with anyway...

So red flag means they can change the setup??
I was just checking the rules, and they say parc fermé is until the start of the race. This race hasn't started yet, as far as I can see?!

They aren't running if it pours down.

It's visibility, Norris said track is good, no standing water. I guess they're expecting visibility to be as good as on a dry track...

After that rain shower there is at least a 1 hour dry window, or maybe just very light rain.

Nothing stopping the drivers that are too scared from pulling out of the event.

Start and let the ones who feel confident in their driving ability to race. Mandate full wets and remind everybody the throttle has a range between 0% and 100%.

What a clown show! Utter incompetence…

So some drivers elect to start from the pit lane just to change setups and then the FIA decides to f¥ck them over for no reason!

As if they couldn’t just delay the start…
