let's us all pray for rain to come back later, so we get a race we deserve for once.
If it rains it will be a red flag. The last thing we want is more rain.
no, it won't be immediate red flag, unless somebody crashes

Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

This is interesting, because the rules say something different:
5.4 d) If the formation lap for the race is started behind the safety car (see Article 49), the
maximum total race time of three (3) hours will commence at the time the green lights
on the start gantry are illuminated to signal the safety car will leave the grid in accordance
with Article 49.2.

Hamilton and Alonso probably on a full wet setup. That’s about to be a big disadvantage very soon.

So I suppose since the race will start behind the safety car those who were supposed to start from the pit lane will now start from the back of grid??

yeah, they just had Wittich on German Sky, who also said that the 3 hour window should be underway already, according to his understanding of the rules.

But its about to rain heavy. Supposedly. Its pointless running then stopping. If you can just run straight through later
Ain't it better to race for 15mins then wait for 30 mins and then race to the end instead of waiting for one hour and then race to the end?
No. Why would it be?
Because you have 30min less waiting.

After today, I won't bother tuning in to wet races again. This new race director needs to go!
problem lies much deeper.
i am happy at least I amongst others lived through 90s and 2000s and saw real formula 1.
its a shame young gen won't see anything better than what they get now.

All the drivers on a dry focused setup (like Oscar) will be saying all they can to get more SC laps.

They need to solve these wet races, this makes no sense.

Either drop the pretense of racing in rain or get them to race.

How is he on a dry focused setup? McLarens have the most downforce, rain racing is the best thing that can happen to them.
