Yuki's pace in clean air vs Max. Over 1+ seconds slower more or less.

Considering that Max said the car had balance issues, it's clear that the fundamental characteristics baked into this car have not changed. If the upgrades had such an impact, as I said before, Max would now be fighting for the championship and not complaining about long standing balance issues and tire degradation.
Hungary will be a very difficult circuit for the RB21. Spa track suitability could have helped Yuki this weekend, but it will be more challenging next weekend since the field is more condensed on a shorter and less favorable track for this car.
I disagree with this and its a terrible comparison. Tsunoda came out on lap 14. 2-3 laps to get the tyres to temp considering he track temp after finding out you got shafted by pit strategy. He did bring the pace back but then had to worry about the slow straight line speed so had to dump the battery and practically coast around in S2. Honestly he was doing pretty well in terms of race pace compared to the sprint and previous races. He he lost it at the end but from qualifying his upward trajectory has been very steep. Hungary is going to be a hard track will be a true test especially with the upgrades.
They've been placed in the exact same scenario. Yuki came out under pressure from the Haas. Max came out under pressure from Russell's Mercedes. They both were dumping the battery after their stops. Or does that not apply to Max because it doesn't fit your story that Yuki wasn't actually slow? There's hardly a lap within 9 tenths over that entire range of laps. Did Max not face cold tires and low pressures too? Only Yuki? If yuki has lost his speed for 2-3 laps because he was thinking about a bad pitstop... The excuses are so elaborate now. A driver who can't focus because he pitted 1 lap later. Max was driving the same car with slow straight line speed. Max also switched to an older PU before the race and Yuki did not. I wonder how many hp Max was down. Maybe we should ignore that since it doesn't suit this story.
There is no flattering comparison to made from the sprint or the GP. Fastest laps are miles apart. Laps set in the same conditions are miles apart. Why would it be so hard to find any single lap at all that makes Yuki look close with context over 70+ laps of racing, qualifying, and free practice at Spa? It surely can't be that everything is just disinformation, we're looking at it all wrong, and he's actually close? The guys saying the qualy gap was "3 tenths" knew what they were doing to sell the narrative. The actualy time gap was 0.38s which is approximately 4 tenths. That is before accounting for a mistake that Max made exiting la source that was worth 1.5+ tenths. The real gap would have been closer to 5.5 tenths. It shouldn't be like looking for a needle in a haystack to find his pace.
It doesn't turn.
