We got denied at Silverstone, maybe we we finally get a Hamilton podium for Ferrari in a grand prix finally?

All he needs to do is be faster than VER and LEC

#44 can be somewhat of an x-factor on this track (like Silverstone and China). 8 wins. 2 podiums and a pole position in the last 3 Hungarian GPs. Never lost to #63 here either. I don't know what will happen but I don't imagine a Q1 knockout. He could be in front of #16 on merit as we saw glimpses of it in Silverstone and China sprint which are other #44 tracks.
It doesn't turn.

Where? Not at the Hungaroring.
In the morning maybe some rain or a light thunderstorm but later dry and 25C.

1. It doesn’t sound so easy beating Max on this track nor CL…

2. I would wait a little bit before being making such a claim… (FP sessions and qualy). No guarantees that Ferrari will once again be the (second) fastest team

I have a strange feeling of a Leclerc win this weekend. I know he doesnt have a great track record on this track but feel like he is going to hook it up in qualifying and defend with all his might in the race.

Apparently 16 admitted to this track being his worst on the calendar at the press conference today so the stage is set for 44

The usually most reliable site (met.hu) says rain is expected East of the Danube from afternoon, so it's really possible. It will be an East-moving cold front, so what time it will reach the track will depend on the wind speed . Strong wind is pretty much guaranteed, but temps will remain above 25C that's for sure.

their Budapest forecast shows rain mostly for Saturday night, more or less same as others.

A green track will (once again) just make the race dull. That differentiates the cars too much.

I am seeing posts hoping that Max or LeClerc or Hamilton 'may' have a chance.
Sorry to say, you guys have not realized the massive performance headroom that the McL39 has over the 2nd best car (whichever that car is, on a particular weekend). This track, well it's like it's tailor made for the Mclaren - it's full of slow & medium speed corners that require a sharp front end, it has a few traction zones - all the aces up the McL39's sleeve. There are just 1 or 2 high speed corners where a Max or a LeClerc can 'match up/go slightly better' but that's it. The odds are stacked heavily in favour of the McL39. Please don't get lulled into a false hope by the pole margin from 2024, the one-lap and race-pace of McL39 is whole new level better than the McL38 (which itself was a tremendous car) . If it's dry, I am expecting a pole time that is 0.8-1.0s better than last years pole time. Yes, despite the short lap. If it's a wet race (unless the chickens sitting at race control decide to wait for a dry track), then maybe others may have a look in. But if it's dry/drying track on Sunday, no one else has a chance.
