No team will be allowed to setup shop the way Red Bull have. That is one and done. Red Bull are lucky that they got in when they did. They will never allow it again. Zak Brown has spent years railing against it. I'm surprised that Macklaren was not aware.
Ok.

I can see how Aston would be interested in having another team to run the Honda PU. Don't think the gossipers could have a clue how far the depth of RBR model they want to model. It's Gossip, the deeper you go, the further from what was whispered you're getting.

Very interesting! With the Lagonda brand failing to take off, wonder if this could be a way for Honda to reenter the sport as a "works" team and get the 12th spot on the grid

Well Honda is a works team in 2025 and will continue to be in 2026. That will not change. The part of "in the Red bull model" and them dictating who would run it, suggests Honda would have little more to do with it than PU & sponsor. Otherwise, the Gossip would have read that Honda was looking at buying a F1 team, which it doesn't say. Anyways, it's gossip.

I don't understand the "Lagonda brand failing" statement. It is my understanding that Aston martin have a long term F1 branding deal in place with AM F1, if that's what you're referring to. That isn't going anywhere, is my understanding.
I meant if AMR want a B-team, it cant be called Aston Martin also? God knows how much trouble Red Bull has had with naming their B-team. One alternative could have been to use the other road car brand in the AMR stable (Lagonda) but that is probably not happening since Lagonda has failed to take off on the road car side. So an AMR B-team could be Honda branded with Honda engine and Honda drivers but effectively run by AMR/Alonso (if this story is true). Would also fit the FIA's criteria for offering a 12th team charter to an OEM
Ok, thanks.

They have 2 factories which is more than Ferrari and Haas have? There are strict regs on what parts can be bought and sold and what parts they have to show their homework? What exactly is the problem? Just the naming ?

fwiw .....

Wilbur Gunn the American founder of Lagonda named it using native American name for Buck Creek (Springfield Ohio)
a Lagonda won outright the Le Mans 24 hrs in 1935
a Lagonda raced in pioneer F1 event at 1948 Jersey Road Races (4.5 litre V12 sports car driven by 'that' Robert Cowell)
Lagonda Rapiers ran as 1.5 litre supercharged 2 seater pre and post WW2 ie (not in F1 but F1-legal)
'the Elder Rapier' was rebodied in 1956 as a single-seater and very successful in historic events even post-2000
David Brown bought Lagonda for its 'WO Bentley-designed' 2.6 litre car & engine (whereby AM did big endurance races)
this 'new' Lagonda was the company's saloon car product until discontinued in 1958 (and not replaced)
the car (really more Tresilian-designed) had cills as part of the body not the chassis (a local car known to me for years)

unless I'm wrong and fwiw .....

Lagonda was named after Lagonda Creek (in the USA)

my guess is...

The Lagonda is a British luxury car brand established in 1906, which has been owned by Aston Martin since 1947.
The name was revived by Aston Martin in 1974 with the introduction of a full-size luxury four-door saloon, the Aston Martin Lagonda, designed by William Towns.

I think that was an issue that Zak had with Horner "cheating" more than anything to do with the rules allowing B-teams
