He was off track. That lap was deleted for track limits at turn 12.

You mean Russel forced him off the track and in the process damaged both of their cars. Why isn't it a penalty for Russel? If you're forced off track you don't usually get a punishment.venkyhere wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 01:52Whichever way they cut it, even after considering the 'extra width' the rear tyres have over the fronts, LeClerc was clearly off track limits in the inside of T12. Such was the amount of 'how much inside the whilte lines' he was. I don't know what 'lack of conclusive evidence' they are talking about - the TV replays showed it clearly. Not only did LeCLerc overtake off the track, he understeered into Russel and caused a collision. I don't understand why it isn't a penalty for LeClerc. Similarly senseless was the case with Sainz-Lawson collision. Penalty went to the wrong guy.
Totally agree , in the document shows both drivers thought it was a racing incident.AR3-GP wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 02:02Personally I thought it was great racing, and very opportunistic by Charles when Russell had a poor restart. I don't care about the track limits. It was close enough and there is gravel there. Those who want penalties to either driver simply want to kill racing because the driver that they do not like has benefited or the driver that they like has been disadvantaged. Unfortunately that is how most discussions go on this forum lately. Verstappen would certainly have been lynched on here for doing what Leclerc did. They would say Verstappen never intended to make the corner.

The Sains/Lawson thing was clear-cut. It's the driving rules they came up with for this year that are horrible.
Can you point me out where it was clearly that LEC left the track with all 4 wheels?michl420 wrote: ↑01 Sep 2025, 09:12I also think it was a great overtake. But technically LEC clearly was off track, an it is the same as someone is pushed outside off the track and overtake despite it. We have seen frequenty penaltys for that (NOR-VES texas 2024). On the other side RUS have pushed LEC off the track. I don´t know how the writen rules handle this situation right.
No. They first judged him to be off. But in the review and after race review it was not provable. The rear wheel might have been on track all the time.
When in a 100 kmh left turn the right front tire is 30 cm+ inside the white line, I don`t need to see the rear tire to know that it is also on the inside of this line. There is maybe no footage, but for me it its logical.
