We have seen cars have typically less rear wing than last year. My question is, would it be possible and/or allowed to race without a rear wing at all? I am thinking of course about Monza and even more Las Vegas.

I can see Verstappen strongly challenging for this race- certainly for the pole

Last year, McLaren walked away with the front row, not because of top speed, but because of downforce. Out of the top four teams, they had the poorest S1, the best S2 (where all the 90 degree turns are) and on-par S3. There is a lot of focus placed by the pundits and commentary teams about top speed and the exit from parabolica before the long straight, but Mclaren realized last year itself, that the key was Sector 2. And they had more than 2 tenth advantage there - that was enough to give them pole by more than 1 tenth margin.
In a track with many 320+kph bursts, it was one ~100kph corner (T4-5) and two ~200kph corners (T6 and T7) which gave pole - that's as big an oxymoron as it gets in F1.

It's just not my impression, that the DRS effect has led to more chaotic races in the past - more on the contrary, with many DRS trains. But feel free to explain why you expect this, if I'm missing something.

Well, this is nothing new. Same was the case when RedBull had dominant cars, a well balanced car with some downforce wins Monza. Even if one lap pace is not king, they will dominate on tire wear. This is why I also not see RedBull competitive here. They will struggle in every 90° corner.

I think Bill is refering to qualifying more so than the race itself, we`ve all see how a decent tow can move you up the grid significantly...

I always like to point out the year 2010, Button almost win with a pseudo monaco wing.
