Agree...
A TP talking about FP3 laptimes to paint a positive picture about the car - pathetic. How desperate is Fred ? What kind of 'dressing down' did he get from the Ferrari board ? Is Ferrari as a whole, regretting signing up a superstar driver instead of a superstar car designer ?
His job is probably on the line. I think Ferrari has a personnel problem. They are not based in the UK. Italy simply doesn't pay as well as the rest of Europe either to attract the best European talent - not sure if this is also a factor as I am unfamiliar with Ferrari pay.
I am convinced that in a budget cap era the UK teams have a much bigger advantage in terms of idea exchange from one team to another as it's simply not as hard for personnel to move between teams. Moving to Italy, integrating especially with families is a much more trickier proposition.
Unless they nail the next regulation, it will be a repeat again.
Ferrari should just open a UK base. They might benefit from it.
Call a spade, a spade.
