The fact that Max still has a shot at this title is insane to me.

He's got a chance and that's all he needs. McLaren drivers really not bringing it home so might be a tense one by the end of the season.

Two small mistakes with Piastri falling behind the p5 or p6 and Max is back in the hunt. But has to win this races of course. Lando needs just 1 mistake and Max is right there. But for now the real fight is highly unlikely, its not about that, maybe keeping just a pressure to Mclaren until the end... Will see, quite happy for now, I will enjoy this 14 days until Singapore...

Well, that was an outlier. Difficult Q and once it is difficult only Max performs...but everything else this season will be standard most likely. So we will see the McLaren in the Top3.
Plus next race is the hardest for RB on the whole calendar...I do not see this season getting exciting...

Really he's going to need the Mercedes duo to make this even more possible.

If the others all had a tow and drs in their fastest laps, then they probably also had dirty air in turn 1 and 3.
That could explain the graphs. Slow in the straight, fast in the corner

Was Max's fastest in free air? And what about the others?

Max was marginally faster than Russell in free air, 2-3 tenths. The other top cars were stuck in traffic for the entire race.

His pace was good but it would be premature to proclaim that RB is fully back in business on all tracks.

Maybe this will be a bit offtopic , but i got to watch every session from friday to sunday this weekend on F1TV with this Alex talky
Every 5 minutes or so he is saying something about people new to F1 watching about something useless

But on topic why do we have 6 kinds of tyres and pirelli decides what they bring.
Bring it down to 3 like we had before pirelli , hard medium soft. now the soft was c6 medium c5 and hard c4. Explain that to the viewers Alex for everyone who is new to f1.
Tyre nonsense for all these years. Practices are short they have limited time to get to know the tyres which pirelli decides to bring,
Just 3 every race the same just 3 not make 6 and decide on which track. Just 3 decent tyres nothing more pirelli

Apparently Red Bull is now running the RB21 with a lower ride height since Baku. That's why Mclaren is worried, because Red Bull really unlocked performance because of this.

I am deeply concerned that race threads are barely going past 10 pages. Where is everyone?! :wtf:

If Max wins Singapore and Austin, every single race thread post that, will run to 20+ pages.
