An Era of boredom. No Competition for Max Verstappen.

Post

The two people who could save this G. Effect era from total boredom are not in cars that can consistently fight for poles and wins. And it's the last year of this formula.

Charles Leclerc

George Russell

I really don't beleive thar Oscar and Lando are on the same tier as Max. And to make things worse the characteristics of the McLaren and RedBull are polar opposites so we rarely see them fighting on the same bits of track. One of them will be champion and remebered as a side note. But forget about these two. They have shown they are good but not legendary.

For the coming formula we need somehow to get Max into a Ferrari or a Merecedes because RedBull won't hire from outside unlesss it's a number 2 driver beside him. So all hopes of true rivalry are pretty much shot without him leaving.

Has he proven he is the best of his generation or is it the finely tuned weapon that he weilds? It's time this RedBull bubble around Max is popped. Time for him to head out into the wild and prove to us what he can do in another team built around other drivers. This alone can save the next era and really add some much needed colour to his legacy.

He will do that when he starts racing Porsches properly. Just look at his license earning drives around the ring and will see how far ahead of others he is
Mess with the Bull - you get the horns.

Piastri has been fine this year! Don’t know what are people expecting from a young guy in only his 3rd season in Formula 1 racing for a championship!

If you go back and look at what Max was doing in his 3-4th seasons you’ll be amazed…crashing into others, spinning by himself and moving under braking until Danny crashed into him!

And you have to remember that Max has a whole team behind him! Neither Oscar nor Lando have any this! I’d imagine Oscar would have been over 100 points ahead of he had the same treatment Max gets from his team…

But anyways apart from Lando and Oscar making mistakes Max has also made a lot of uncharacteristic errors and performances this year! Silverstone and Spain bottling his SC restarts, Hungary and Bahrain he was dreadful (and don’t start on “oh the car was bad” cause it wasn’t), Zandvoort not capitalizing on new soft tires against Piastri’s old Hards just to name a few…

I really hope this championship goes down to the wire and Max doesn’t suddenly turn it into a one man show from now on! I would love for Piastri to win it but may the best win…

Max doesn’t get treatment. He stuck with the team for years when they had no car to offer. Now, now he finally has one. He’s earned it.

My driver is better than yours? Really, again? Wrong forum for that. Thread locked.
